Simply awesome. I guess we can now move chess- or at least chess-boxing- solidly into the "Sport" column of our eternal debate.

I came here to laugh at this and left intrigued. If I ever get in better shape, I'd love to give this a shot.

Just wait til Don King gets a hold of it, ruins it, and MMA chess becomes the new hotness.

Let's modify this to include beer bongs & Yaeger Bombs just before entering the ring & promote the sport on college campuses. Now featured on ESPN College Game Day "chess boxing with shots"

Like wfrazerjr, I also am intrigued. But for me, I just want to watch. And Tron, MMA chess? I doubt it, maybe MMA checkers or MMA tic tac toe.
