Tiger wins for the second week in a row: Tiger Woods wins the Bridgestone Invitational. Thats two consecutive tournament wins and 5 wins out of 12 events in 2009. Can he put it all together to win the last major in 2009 to avoid being shut out of majors in '09?

I will be surprised if he amounts to much as a pro QB
He probably won't be good as a pro....he is only 6'4", smart as they come, accurate, makes all of the throws, and makes good decisions on and off the field. Hes probably going to really suck.

when one person is cuffed and taken in, it makes you wonder how many sides to the story there are

Looks like OSUTUBA just registered his/her sportsfilter account just to take a shot at OU. I live in Oklahoma and year in year out OSU fans gather at the beginning of the year to tell the world how this is their year to win a few games and go to a BCS bowl game. Then at the end of the year when they go do another mediocre bowl or sometimes NO bowl game at all, they are quiet for a few months until august rolls around and then repeat cycle. That was a nice win yesterday against the Dawgs, but they are about 7 nat'l title, 6 Big XII titles, about 32 conference championships and 4 heisman winners behind their big brother in the great state of Oklahoma.
The only reason for me throwing all of that out there is to make me feel better when OSU fans try and throw cheap shots (no pun intended oregon) out there when they can.
OU will manage to scrape by this year and probably lose another to Texas and play in an at-large bowl game in Glendale or a Cotton bowl game, but losing Bradford isn't going to make them a 4-5 loss team like OSUTuba would like to think. Landry Jones isn't the first redshirt freshman to take the field for OU--Sam Bradford was once a redshirt freshman, he threw for 36 touchdowns that year. So unless the line can't figure a way to improve, which i think this coaching staff will be able to figure this thing out all will not be lost. There isn't a lack of talent here thats for sure, just inexperience and lack of focus. If OSUtuba can come in here and claim OU will lose to Tulsa and Miami, i'm sure tuba thinks ou will drop to OSU and Texas, thats gives OU a 5 loss year even before they get to a bowl game. I will come back in december and close my sportsfilter account. maybe not, but i'll consider it :)

He didn't get sacked rcade, Bradford was hit after he released the ball. The score was 7-7 when Bradford left. I'm sure OU wins the game if Bradford stays in, but this was probably the worst offensive line play OU has seen in a long while.

I think it would rcade. Only because of him going crazy after the punch. I think if it was just the punch or or only him going after fans he might of had a chance to play again this year. But on opening night on ESPN didn't help his cause at all.
This might be in bad taste, but I'm glad he had the balls to hit the guy. That guy was being a dick and deserved it. Personally, I wouldn't have hit the guy. Its not that I wouldn't have the balls to do it, its just I understand there are consequences to acting like a punk thug. i lernt that in 3rd grade in skule

I'm glad there is an end to this M Vick saga of what team, when will he be reinstated, wildcat package or whatever else. Its getting boring, but for some reason i keep paying attention.

If Garnett wouldn't have went to boston and won a championship he would have been remembered as a legend on the court but stuck with a shit hole team that couldn't build around him...

Him not being ready has nothing to do with him not playing in the NBA this year. If he didn't think he was ready he wouldn't of went through the entire draft process. If Ricky would of been picked 2 or 3, you better believe he would be over here. His buyout is too much for him being picked in the draft where he was picked. Besides how happy do you think the would have been playing for the Timberwolves? He knew it could have been a career killer going to the Timberwolves. Just too many things added up for him to make the trip. In my opinion he can stay over there.

ya until your punter missed the screen and he kicked a 20 yard punt and your opponent started in your 40, that would be the only time he tried that

I'm pretty sure the tennessee punter was trying to hit it on purpose. How else is he gonna get on Sportscenter besides getting blown up on a blocked kick.

Good point Born, I think everyone forgets he DID improve a horrible jets team from the year before, and he did play well until the injury.

Actually I think Favre signed a 2 year deal with the Vikings Athiest. Kind of an intriguing fact that he signs a two year deal. I wonder if that was the Vikings idea just in case things go bad in Minn and Favre wants to leave to another team next year and the Vikes will have rights to him next year.

I thought the fake punt was fun to watch, I was kind of shocked to see it in the preseason. I think if this were a regular season game, it might not have worked as well as it did. I think they were on the 40 yard line, the opposing special teams might have been looking for it if this were a regular season game. But it was well executed thanks to bad pursuit by the would be tacklers.

Florida Linebacker Tried to Eye-Gouge Opponent
Thank heavens he didn't do lunch with Deion Sanders or something similarly heinous deserving of a long suspension.
Isn't that the truth. This guy tries to blind someone and he sits out 30 min of football. What an absolute joke Urban Meyer and the UF are.
What do you gain, as a coach, by punishing Spikes more?
You gain the satisfaction of keeping some of your integrity after that lame speech about.....we love and support SPIKES.....not the guy who could have been PERMANENTLY damaged from an ignorant human being.
Not that I have any respect or like for the NCAA, but if they let this punishment stand, and keep a guy out for an entire year for LYING, not stealing, cheating, using drugs,or trying to take cheapshots it will truly be a shame.
