Tim Hardaway, the yin to Jon Amaechi's yang: "First of all I wouldn't want him on my team," said Hardaway. "Second of all, if he was on my team I would really distance myself from him because I don't think that's right and I don't think he should be in the locker room when we're in the locker room."

I bet Amaechi enjoyed showering with the team like a straight guy would like to shower with Anna Kournikova, J-Lo, and Jessica Simpson......MMMMM can't wait for practice to be over. The first one there and the last to leave. Why do you think Men and Women have seperate locker rooms?

No World Cup love for Team USA Our beloved "football" team just lost 2-1 to Ghana, sending Ghana to the second round and the US back home. Disappointment runs rampant, especially since Italy beat the Czech Republic 2-1. Only one goal the entire round? Pathetic.

BRUCE ARENA SUX. He needs to be fired!! We shouldnt even pay for his trip home. I bet they find every reason in the world the team lost just to keep Bruce "Suck coach" Arena around.......How the heck did we get a no.5 ranking in the world. WHAT A DISGRACE!!!!

Brian McBride's 42nd Goal Lifts U.S. over Ghana, 110-109 "I will never be a soccer fan until somebody thinks of a way to increase scoring," writes Robert Scherer of Montgomery, Ohio. "Taking away the goalie would be a start."

The_Black_Hand. I have too post it on more than one thread in case it gets missed. Some people don't read every single thread out there. Do you? I just read the threads that interest me....That's the beauty of variety. It's kind of like the World Cup being on more than one channel. If you don't catch the game on ABC or ESPN, you can get it on Galvision. That way everyone gets to enjoy it. Some call this the SHOTGUN EFFECT.

Miami Wins the NBA Championship. Beating Dallas 95-92

posted by kirkaracha at 11:09 PM on June 21

Miami Beat us to win the championship. I wish Mavs fans would STOP CRYING about the Refs. We lost 4 games in a row. We reverted back to old Mavs ball(shooting jumpers and playing soft under the boards). Thats the bottom line, so lets stop being babies about it and blaming everyone but ourselves. We did not play tough like in games 1 & 2. How do we expect the refs to send us to the line if we are just shooting (jacking) 3s and outside jump shots. The Heat just played more aggressive. If we ever plan on winning a the Championship, we have to look at how we need to improve.......After the Heat lost the first 2 games, did they cry about the Refs? No, they went back and figured out what they needed to do in order to win. That's what we should of done. WE PUT WAY TO MUCH ENERGY IN CRYING ABOUT CALLS. THAT'S WHY WE DON'T HAVE THE TROPHY!

NBA Owner Feels the Heat Dallas Mavericks Owner Mark Cuban, who became $250,000 poorer today: "The games are not rigged. Thats a complete insult to the players on the court and the incredible amount of effort they put into preparing for and playing the games. All 82 regular season and post season games. The NBA couldnt rig the games if it wanted to. David Stern couldn't find his rear-end with a GPS receiver. You think he could fix a game? Free Jerry Stackhouse! Dwyane Wade committed a back court violation! Get HDTV! Go Mavs!"

In every sport, from little league to the pros, the loser always complains of some kind of unfairness. It is just human nature. If Dallas wins, do you think they complain about the refs? I was at a u-12 soccer game last week. The score was 9-0. Quess what the losing team cried about?.....Yes, the Refs. WHAT ?!!!!!!!??? I could not believe it. You get romped 9-0 and the first thing you can think of is the REFS. Give me a break. I love the Mavs as much as anyone...but as long as there is sport, the REFS will be the biggest excuse for losing. The refs are a part of the game. Just deal with it and overcome. Once Dallas wins, we won't hear anymore about the REFS.

Who Says a Tie is a Bad Thing? The US soccer team looked almost unrecognizable today from their efforts against the Czech Republic in their first World Cup match. Even while playing a large portion of the match with only nine men due to some questionable calls, the entire team stepped it up, especially Kasey Keller in the goal. Add in the help from Ghana today, and the US are still in this thing.

Just because we may not be a fan of a particular sport we do not need to down it. That is the beauty of sports, there is something out there for everyone to enjoy. It would suck If we only had one sport to watch. Its kind of like women. If you don't like a tall one pick a short one. If you don't like skinney ones get a fat one.......all that matters is that you enjoy it. Like the commercial says " Life without sport is BORING"......As for me, I love having a variety of different sports to watch.

Death by soccer-related stress Seems fairly obvious to me that being passionate about any sport raises your stress levels. My mother gets so stressed during certain matches that she has to leave the room.

We could make a lot of these idiots happy that want to see more scoring by making every goal count as 6 or7 points like in football.... Then they would think soccer has a lot of scoring in it. How many football games end 14-0, 21-7, etc. .......That translates 2-0, 3-1 in soccer goals.

Mcbride and the COACH needs to be sent back home. THEY BOTH SUCK!!!!!! Put in Eddie Johnson . He is the only scorer on the team...... Mcbride plays weak and was never a threat. The coach puts to much stock in the players that play in Europe. He needs to play Dempsey and Johnson at the same time.

A Lot of athletes just play a certain sport because of the gains they receive from it....I hated playing football but stuck with it because I got to get a free college degree. Now my kids don`t even play football.

The semi-annual Barry Sanders questions. Why and why not come back? Personally I think that even for him 37 is just too old.

posted by commander cody at 12:55 AM on February 02

Barry was the best back ever. Emmitt could not carry Barry's Jock. Emmitts team did not have any weaknesses. Most of the time the Safety was the first one to touch him......If Barry and Emmitt were to swap teams during their prime, Barry would have retired with over 30,000 yrds.

Warriors fire PR manager over "Ghetto Prom" email Eric Govan meant to send an interesting email to his wife, but accidentally sent it to the Warriors’ entire media distribution list. He was fired shortly after.

Those pics are funny no matter what race you are........If people were fired from my job for sending that e-mail, thousands of people would loose their jobs. That e-mail has been going around for years. They are no different than all of the red neck emails that everyone sends!!!!!!!!
