Are you ready for some football! Some fantasy football that is. Are we going to have a spofi fantasy football league this year? And have I earned enough respect to be a comish again?

What? no Yankee Red Sox thread? The Sox and Yanks played another classic game tonight. The Yanks won in an extra inning struggle that left the Sox deflated. Is the Sportsguy right, is there something wrong with the Red Sox? Oh yeah, Jeter made a sick play diving into the stands.

2008 Fantasy Basketball Draft Results Lots of talent still left after twelve rounds and twelve teams.

The Show = jbou.

I got a gift in the first round, Wade falling to the 8th spot was like getting Rolex when you were expecting a Timex.

I took the rookie gamble at the end of the draft with Mayo and Rose.

Overall I think I am going to crush you all!! Haha.

Final '07 Fantasy Baseball Standings Jerseygirl wins it wire to wire (by my account) and takes home her 4th championship in 5 years. Amazing!

I am no good at roto, but I did pull of the 1st place finish in the head to head league.

In a league of its own The Economist on the reasons for the NFL's comparative success. Among others, "because it is the most violent of the four sports. Since the average player does not last more than four years as a professional, labour strikes are difficult and the union is weak."

The article is wrong, football is and always will be the easiest game to gamble on, and it has a monopoly on Sunday sports viewing. Any other analysis is a waste of time.

Feel the Draft Live chat on the first day of today's NFL Draft, that special day every spring when Mel Kiper climbs out of his hole and his five o'clock shadow signifies one more year of football.

yerfatma, they pick last in all the rounds anyway so the Steelers can trade their non compensatory picks and still pick in about the same place.

Head to Head needs 1-3 more teams. Draft is Saturday We had a person drop out. We have that spot and 2 others if were to go with sixteen.. First come first serve. We miss you Bullpenpro-I am told that you were the one to drop. Go to yahoo fantasy baseball league " 90802 The password is: chuck If I only get two more to sign up-then on will have to be dropped so we can play with 14- We would, however, like to play with 16!

Yet another fantasy baseball league As discussed at the end of last season, I'm setting up an additional league. This league is intended to use an auction-style draft and keepers to keep the league running as a regular yearly event. Some have already expressed interest, but there will be additional space. More inside.

Where is the "more inside?"

The long awaited Yahoo Roto Baseball League First, please declare who your team is in this thread after you register. If a team goes "unclaimed" it will be removed a week before the draft to allow for someone else to take the spot. This is to ensure that actual SpoFites, and not lurkers or deadbeats, are taking up room. Plus it's a good "Get to know who is who" deal too. That seem fair?

as always my team name is The Show.

Will Pete leave USC for the NFL? And will he be dumb enough to take a job at a place like Detroit? Why not? Maybe GM and Head Coach...somewhere?

posted by commander cody at 01:32 AM on December 12

Will Pete leave USC for the NFL? If Pete feels he has something to prove in the NFL then yes, he will leave, but if Pete is happy where he is, and has no burning desire for redemption, then no, he will not go anywhere. If I was him I'd be very happy coaching at USC, and being treated like a king in so cal.
