So the whole time/amount of comments restriction on FPP is out the window?: There was a restriction, right? I'm not imagining this?
Happy Festivus, Merry Chrismukkah, Happy Holidays, Happy New Year.: Whatever you celebrate, I hope it's wonderful for you and yours.
Thanks for closing the Hardaway thread...: Maybe for the next couple weeks, as a group, can ease up on the Gays in Sports threads? I really want to discuss it, but there's a small segment of the membership that are shitting all over the threads and ruining it for everyone. I know the idea of a column was tossed around in that thread and I'd love to read one on the topic.
The Hell with the Weblog Awards. : We were snubbed. They didn't nominate us for best sports blog. I guess they didn't get a copy of our new guidelines either.
Jennifer the Russian Spam Posting Bot.: All from "MosNews". If they were all espn links, I wouldn't suspect too much that she was trying to drum up traffic. Never replies to our commentary. We've discussed this before in some of her threads, sort of hoping she'd defend herself, but the Mosbot just keeps going.
Pony: : Can we have the same three minute rule to edit FPPs, too?
Great work, again: We're experiencing a boom. Don't feed the new animals.
happy Father's Day, SpoFi Dads.: have a great day, fellas. that's all. :)
You need to sign up for a free Flickr account. Our group is called, appropriately, Sportsfilter. You can try to join that. Or... you can add FenwayFaithful as a friend and I'll invite you to the group. Or you can instant message fenwaychick during the day or during the game and I'll add you in. Or... you can try this and see where it gets you. http://www.flickr.com/groups/40732557918@N01
one of those options has to work.
Another real person found rcade's comment chafing again. P.S. to rcade: How come they always find you? "maybe you should get rid of your all knowing attitude and make some friends... old[er] man" (kidding)
Would anyone be interested in having lockerroom discussion threads during games? We did it during the superbowl and it was fun. We've got some NBA playoffs coming up, not to mention NHL, plus there's those all-season ticket packages cable services offer for baseball, not to mention the delightful Fox and ESPN baseball games of the week... rcade sort of mentioned something like it in his interview.
long story short: i was wondering if anyone was interested?
***SPOFI LOCKER ROOM INTERVIEW #18*** jbou: "You all really need to interview me." Okay, I will! I'm taking a twirl in the guest interviewer chair for this one, with Worldcup's blessing. We're going to find out a little more about the man behind the mouth: Ultimate Yankee defender, supreme hater of the Red Sox fan, jbou. Surely, he has other qualities... or something. So let's all find out!
God help me.
CBS Sportsline or Yahoo fantasy baseball leaguers: Week 1 is in the can. Are we going to do weekly updates? Can we get a volunteer from each league? (i'd volunteer, but i cannot do the snazzy standings/leaders in tables like last year's weekly updates had. i dont know if those are wanted/required in the update. they were kinda nice though.)
or maybe me and my browser are just stupid.
Ask Spofi: How would a salary cap be initiated in baseball? I understand after the current bargaining agreement would have to expire. Who initiates such a thing? Could this ever happen? The luxury tax thing isn't working. Some teams have a small budget. Some have a larger budget. And some have no budget at all.
Dear Spofi... got a video game question. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?! Will they produce the game like that? I mean, they can't, right?
