"I'm intrigued by the concept of people playing baseball for fun," said former baseball commissioner Fay Vincent, a member of the VBBF board. "Someone said this will be an effort where the strike will be something that goes over the plate and doesn't involve a labor dispute."

Fay Vincent is the best.

Jim Bouton ain't too shabby, either. Sounds like a lot of fun...
On a related (?) note, uh, didn't some feller named Pluto write about Bouton's comeback attempt?

Awesome. "You spend your entire life gripping a baseball and then you realize it was the other way around the whole time" - why am I not surprised that Bouton is the guy doing this?

You know, Bouton could be a viable candidate for MLB commish...Listen to him speak, and you KNOW where he's coming from!

By the way, Jim, Barry Bonds called...He wants his lid back.
