Masks!!! Nike unveils new masks ad campaign and ESPN Page 3 (to which I will link despite my general objection to the strange obession with the sports/pop culture mash-up) runs a quiz. I got 5 out of 6 -- how about you?

Those are some stupid masks.

I'm mad at somebody because of this, but I'm not sure who...

WTF is this? And please don't look at the properties of the photos if you still want to guess who's behind them things.

NoMich, I think the mask you are questioning appears to be some sort of optometrist inspired thing -- like the wearer has really good vision. Not sure about the gasmask breathing apparatus, though. I think the stupidest one is definitely the barbed wire thing.

I think the barbed wired mask is merely a punk fashion statement.

nike, step in my office...cos your fucking fired.

holy frickin' armaggedon who is the shiting cokemonkey who came out with this pile of stea...

I think the barbed wired mask is merely a punk fashion statement. Actually...his head had to be quarinteend(sp) after his relationship with Paris Hilton.

About as lame, stupid, inane, idiotic, harebrained as Page 3 itself. What are they supposed to be selling? Shoes? Gimme a friggin break Nike.

Wow. Now imagine, if you will, Greg Ostertag in one of those masks....

Did the interns run wild? It is like a Nike sponsored Gwar tour.

What a poorly thought out infomercial that was.

They did not actually get Pujols et. al. to agree to put those stoopid things on their heads and be photographed, did they? I mean, I know some professional athletes are dumb, but how dumb can you be? "Yeah, you'll look really cool, trust us..."

I don't think that they have much of a choice do they? Didn't these guys sign an advertising contract with Nike? I ask 'cause I'm just assuming here.

I guess I'm in a minority of one here, but I think this is fabulous. Bravo Nike.

Did anyone see the commercials with these? Wow, what a way to make a group of elite athletes look like total dorks. "For Warriors". Yeah, right. Send 'em to Iraq.

I like the music and the concept of the commercials. I also like the collection of the athletes they put together. I'm still up in the air about the whole mask thing though.
