Yankees pull off a "Bronx" Buster The New York Yankees, clearly in need of another starting pitcher and outfielder, struck an agreement with the Phillies today that Sent Bobby Abreu and Corey Lidle to the Yanks- more contract details inside.

If Joe bat Abreu third, Alex will win mvp again from the fifth spot. I would not let Sheffield go, no matter what next year. The Yankee's should take the whole thing this year if Joe use that staff right. That staff is good for two or three inning at most. So Joe use it like that. Wang and Mussina are good for seven. Matt Smith will be good one day. Next year they should win 108 games. Go Yankee go.

Bonds gets needled by fan at PetCo Park A fan tossed a syringe at San Francisco Giants slugger Barry Bonds during the Padres' home opener on Monday. How much of this type of stuff can Bonds expect this season, and what's the worst fan behavior you've ever seen?

God bless Barry Bonds. Bonds saved baseball. What ever is in the dark will come to the light. Get over it. a waste of energy.

'Love child', mother lambaste Big Unit Johnson is suing former girlfriend Laurel Roszell for $97,000 for child-care payments he made for Heather, a 16-year-old child he fathered but kept secret, the New York Daily News and New York Post reported Tuesday. Heather, the 16-year-old "love child" of New York Yankees pitcher Randy Johnson said her star father coldly responded to letters she sent to him and that she cannot bear to watch him pitch on TV anymore, the New York Post reported Wednesday. Laurel said Johnson balked last year after she asked the 3-time Cy Young Award winner to buy a truck and computer for Heather and pay for her community college classes, the Daily News said.

Strapping on the knee pads. Apparently the Knicks have officially given up on this season. I'm hoping they buy a full page ad in the NYT with this message.

The knick are horrible. It's bad news when teams are down by 20pts. with say 3min. left in the game and know that they can still win.

Knicks trade Davis- get Rose In another trade by I. Thomas, the Kincks aquire Rose, a first round pick, and cash. Does this trade make the Knicks ANY better?

This is agood move. Marbury can now move over to SG where he will be unstopper and Rose move over to PG.The problem with this trade if they (NYK) don't bring him back(Rose) then they will have to get another PG. they can use the two draft pick for next year also.when Marbury get well the (NYK) will be right there in the thick of things..Give D. Lee more playing time and let see whats happen.
