More Falls And Skating Scrapes For NBC's Olympics On Tuesday, "Idol" skated off with a crushing 11.4 rating/29 share to NBC's out-of-the-running 5.6 rating/14 share among adult 18-49 viewers. Even Fox's next show, "House," bested the Olympics with a 7.7/14. Worse still, NBC aired two of its most popular events--ice skating and downhill skiing....Younger viewers prefer, and are more loyal to, their TV shows.

The Birdman has been flying high. NOKC Forward Chris Anderson has been booted from the NBA for two years for a positive drug test. Under the current collective bargaining agreement, a player may only be tossed out of the league for a first positive drug test if the drug detected is amphetamines, cocaine, LSD, opiates or PCP. This news comes on the day that the Hornets announce they'll remain in OKC for the '06-'07 season, playing a handful of games in New Orleans.

All the skills and no future Sean Taylor may have sealed the fate of his career with these two new charges against him. It is a shame because he is a great defensive player.

if ray lewis can get away with hiring someone to kill someone and OJ can getaway with killing someone i dont see why taylor wont get away with his antics as well he is making alot of money and they will spend i looooong time in court working all this out so my guess is hell miss much of next season but play football again these things always get blown out of proportion when its an athlete by the media especially when its a BLACK athlete hell get minimum sentencing at worst

Seven players , three draft picks, and the Timberwolves and Celtics both mix up their rosters. The biggest pieces of the puzzle are Ricky Davis and Wally Sczcxcqxrbiak, plus the Celts pass the Blount and get the Candy-Man in exchange.

maybe so mike goodman ive only seen two celtics games ....against the sixers and against the cavs and blount played good in both while his stat sheet probly wasnt all that impressive he played with alot of energy and had sum big dunks as well as chasing after loose balls AND Hopefully Mchale can teach him a thing or two the Twolves are still going to start griffin at center anyways

hoopwisdom shuffling the deck can vastly improve a team especially when the chemistry is really bad(like it has been with the Twolves)and Davis is exactly the type of player that Garnett needs as his right hand man hes has an amazin' stroke at times and is 10,000 times more athletic than World could ever be but the big thing in this trade to me really is the addition by subtraction of getting rid of olowakandi in the few games ive seen blount in he seem to be all about the muscle and rebounding and doesnt throw up sum retarded looking hook shot every time he gets the ball the Twolves also got draft pics 3 i think soooo this was an excellent trade for them hopefully they also start giving Mccants more minutes he could give them alot more if they leave him on the floor more often im a die hard Twolves fan yes so im biased but this was an excellent trade

Jermaine O'Neal out for 8 weeks Due to a groin injury, O'Neal will be taking a seat for 8 weeks. Will this hurt the Pacer's outcome of their season?

posted by siouxhocky at 07:22 PM on January 26

chemwizBsquared is right on the money it really doesnt matter Detriot is far and above the BEST TEAM in the nba and will win the championship unless major injuries occur which even then they would still have a chance ive been a Twolves fan since garnett was drafted im happy to see flip saunders finally getting the attention he deserves as a GREAT coach the best thing hes done in detriot really is just let them play and he seems to always be a good freind to the players and respect them more as people sorry indiana but your obsolete along with the rest of the eastern errr NBA

Beaver Falls Student Humiliated By Teacher If you're going to wear the opponents jersey in school, be prepared to catch hell for it. This is a just bit too much though.

i actually think we need more teachers like this guy it would better prepare our children for the ridicule their going to receive in life and also teach children to be more of a member of the pack and be a follower as opposed to being a leader which is what our government wants are school systems to do churn out a bunch of idiots ......im moving to europe

Kobe drops 81 for 2nd most in a game in history of NBA. Brought them back from 18 down to become the highest scoring laker, passing baylor's 71, now only 2nd to wilt's 100 in nba history. amazing.

81 points great...... AGAINST THE RAPTORS .....lets see him put up 80+ against one of the top devensive teams in the league AND win the game and then maybe ill give him sum credit i could score 80 points if i had 40 wide open shots and refs not calling travels and offensive fouls left and right(creating space with his free arm)kobe gets away with that more than anybody in the league i really seriously think this is all a conspiracy to try and boost ratings for a sport that i LOVE but isnt as popular as it was in the jordan era.....GO WOLVES

Islanders System Big on Character It's good to see that my team, the lovable Islanders, the team everyone loves to bag on, have some good up and coming players - Milbury may be an airhead business wise, but the man knows talent. Let's just hope (for my sake) whoever the next GM and Coach are, they realize this and give them a chance.....

Professional Football Continues to be the Nation’s Favorite Sport Pro Basketball is slipping and Hockey is holding steady even after a year long strike. Nascar in the top 4? Opinions should vary on this subject.
