Fighting Artichokes? Ok, so I took some courses at Scottsdale Community College a few years back. At the time was and I guess I still am convinced that they had they single most weird team name. Anyone want to challenge that?

I don't know where It fits in the conversation now. But my high school was the Chesty Lions. Not just lions... Chesty Lions. I always thought it was strange. I guess it is to represent pride. Maybe it was a double ontondre. OK I can't spell.

DOWNHILL SPIRAL: The case behind Bode Miller's fifth-place finish. Look at Miller's season in downhill: Seven races, one podium. His average finish is ninth. Throw out his outlying 22nd in Lake Louise on Thanksgiving and his average finish is still no better than sixth. All season long he has linked occasionally sick turns, won splits and hinted at greatness past while falling short. Blame it on the beers if you like. Blame it on the belly. Or blame it on the brain. Truth is: Miller's Olympic downhill was precisely what his entire season has been. Nothing more and nothing less.

"Undeserved attention" indeed. A man once said, "You show me a person that doesn't care about winning, I'll show you a loser." Talent or not, its not like he will have any other chance to make good. Do you really think he will be back in 2010 to try again? Who needs a cold one? I'm up.

Gonzaga: Home o' Sexual Taunts Students cheering on Gonzaga's basketball team have been asked to stop yelling "Brokeback Mountain!" at opponents. "Apparently, a picture of one of the other team's players kissing another guy had been apprehended from the Internet, made into fliers, and handed out to members of the Kennel Club," a student wrote in a letter to the Jesuit school's paper.

tHE JOKE IS... "You can bang a thousand women, but you suck ONE cock and you're a cock sucker for life." Classic. I watched the game, I was wondering what they were yelling.

All the skills and no future Sean Taylor may have sealed the fate of his career with these two new charges against him. It is a shame because he is a great defensive player.

I totally agree with Human1. Atheletes are given more cusion than our own polititians when it comes to stupid acts. Look at Bush, he is still in office. And he is killing Americans every day. Rumsfeld, he has STOLEN more money than a credit card scam. The list is too long to continue.

Peja for Artest. Pending league approval, the Indiana Pacers have finally dealt problem child Ron Artest to the Kings for Peja Stojakovic. Who wins?

posted by sashae at 03:43 PM on January 24

lets see.... a trouble causing cry baby. for a team playing studd? Im a Kings fan from WAAAAAY back (KC) Artest is a piece of sh.....t. He has NEVER been a team player. And the Kings need more than 1 player that can score. Peja needed a leader in Sac. town. Now that he isn't the ONLY player, Indy will winn a LOT of games. Sac. is done for the season. They may finish well below .500. Stupid trade. Artest should have been treated like Owens and given the rest of the year off. Besides...........NBA sucks.

Kobe drops 81 for 2nd most in a game in history of NBA. Brought them back from 18 down to become the highest scoring laker, passing baylor's 71, now only 2nd to wilt's 100 in nba history. amazing.

How many over times in the Wilt 100? how many three pointres did he hit? How many 7 footers were there in the league then? Kobe is a stud, no doubt about that. But its just basketball. 81 points. Cool. They only won by 18. And it is Toronto... Lets put this in perspective. Pro basketball.... SUCKS!

Forget Bill Parcells. What would the Cowboys do without Wilford Jones? The local alt-weekly offers up a testament to a true fan. Crazy Ray's life is - in all likelihood - nearing it's end, but his passion for the Dallas Cowboys and his sense of humor lives on.

The Green Bay Packers hire Mike McCarthy to lead the team It's not a "hell yeah!" type of hire, but did any of the candidates in this year's pool of coaching talent have much of a "wow" factor? If nothing else, Packers fans can be pleased that Wade Phillips was not handed the keys to the franchise.

What a bunch of BLOW HARDS!!!! Favre needs to move on. He and Sherman go to Detroit. This is worse than trying to take a babies blanky from him. Face the facts,, The stadium is old, the town sucks. Thats right.. Green Bay SUCKS. Dirty stinking f&%$@ng town. Who in their right minds wants to play there? Its all about the money. Get rid of "over the hill Brett" and maybe, just maybe they will be able to afford some more middle of the road players.

How to do some really cool stunts, or maybe just break some windows and furniture and send yourself to the hospital. The Book of Cool teaches you to master a variety of useless skills, such as finger-spinning a basketball, shoulder-popping a soccer ball, or throwing a golf ball into the air and then driving it.
