Royce Gracie Returns to UFC in May The dude that held the Ultimate Fighting Championship for its first 3 years defeating dudes twice his size (they didn't have weight classes at the time) is coming back to vie for the welterweight title. The name Gracie is synonymous with the world of mixed martial arts esp. shootfighting, and many are looking forward to his return to the octogon. I know I am. Peace, Chris

Haskin's Tales: An Evening With The Bear This event took place tonight here in El Paso. I missed it, but I laughed and cried when I read this article about the "Bear." It reminded me what a cool dude Coach Haskins is.

Momma don't let your babies grow up to play... Surprising. Figured a few others would have been ranked higher - rugby for example.

The driver of another vehicle got out and opened fire...............The driver of the car Francis was in attempted to drive away but Francis, who was sitting in the back seat, was shot multiple times....... no one else in the vehicle was injured. Sounds like a perfect hit to me. I can't wait for all the facts to surface in this one.

Breaking down the sports cliches.
A bit of humour for your Friday afternoon reading.
Example:
When they say: "He's a scrappy ballplayer" what they mean is: "He's a white kid that the fans like for some inexplicable reason."

I went to the fight, and an Arena Football game broke out. It's not the Malice in Auburn Hills, but it's still pretty ridiculous.

Soriano refuses to play outfield for Nationals "The player refused to take the field, which we believe is a violation of his contract," Bowden said. Soriano, a four-time All-Star second baseman, was listed as batting leadoff and playing left field on a lineup sheet posted in the Nationals' clubhouse before Monday night's 11-5 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. But when the Nationals took the field in the top of the first, Soriano wasn't out there. With play just about ready to start, left field was empty.

T.O. in Big D Terrell Owens has reached an agreement in principle to join the Dallas Cowboys. The signing comes six years after he showed contempt for the franchise by spiking two touchdowns on the star at the midfield of Texas Stadium, the second of which resulted in George Teague drawing the most beloved unsportsmanlike conduct foul in Cowboys history.
