Eagles Give T.O. a Season-Ending Timeout PHILADELPHIA - Terrell Owens can take his touchdowns and dance somewhere else. The tempestuous star receiver won't return to the Philadelphia Eagles this season or probably ever "a result of a large number of situations that accumulated over a long period of time," coach Andy Reid said Monday.

There's no excuse for teams to pass on black coaches When it comes to hiring black head coaches, the NFL stands for No Fair-hiring League. What a disgrace.

If there was ever any proof of that, it has been this offseason. With 10 head-coaching vacancies -- the Oakland Raiders job is still open -- and the feeling that owners were looking for new blood, not retreads, many believed two or three new African-American coaches would be hired. Instead, blacks were shut out. Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada.

Hey grum work, im not the one makin race an issue, get your facts together. To me, you hire who you feel is best fit to do the job, shouldnt have to hire to meet a "quota" And yes, the blacks are complaining about not enough black head coaches, sorta sounds like they want it all to me.

if they earn it let 'em celebrate Over the past few years guys like T.O. and Chad Johnson have been critisized for dances like these... but who's gonna stop them? not me! i think if they score they've earned a dance or two

Score a touchdown....celebrate, make a tackle....celebrate.....blow a coverage but receiver drops pass.....celebrate....WAIT!!!! isnt that what these babies are being paid to do? Act like you been there before. Outlaw celebrations that draw attention to yourself, it sickens me.

Turn Out the Lights, The Party's Over For the 555th and final time tonight, ABC will air Monday Night Football, the longest-running primetime sports series in television history. The New York Jets played the first game on Sept. 21, 1970, and play ABC's last tonight against the New England Patriots. Though the show's best known for the era when Howard Cosell, Don Meredith and Frank Gifford called the games, MNF draws better ratings today than it did in the '70s, finishing in the top 10 the past 16 years. Jim Jenkins of the Sacramento Bee offers the top 10 MNF moments, which include the gruesome career-ending injury to Joe Thiesmann in 1985, who will be joining Al Michaels next season when the games air on ESPN.

Gonna miss MNF on ABC, it wont be the same any more. Alot of memories from Monday nights, out with the boys, pissed off the wife a few times...oh well.

Why do the Lions always play on Thanksgiving day? Why the Cowboys? For Detroit it may have something to do with the power of radio. In Dallas' case it probably had a lot to do with Tex Schramm and his role in the merger of the AFL and NFL in 1966—the first year that Dallas made an appearance on Thanksgiving day. Both teams at one point could (or did) call themselves "America's team." [more inside]

All for rotating all 32 teams on turkey day. Tired of the same old crappy teams every year, put some other crappy teams on to!

MLB Managers of the Year Fourth for Bobby Cox, first for Ozzie Guillen. "Scrap Iron" finishes third, but gets no first place votes.

Eric Wedge took the Indians where no one thought they would go. As an Indian fan, he's manager of the year. Congrats to Ozzie tho, and Bobby? why is he deserving? just another boring year of them winning the division.

Does this mean that TO won't be playing for anyone for the rest of the season? Or can he still end up somewhere else?..... ....Yes, T.O. is still under contract to Philly, he will sit the rest of this year. Next year now, thats different, if Philly releases him, some team will take a chance on him, for much less money im sure.
