Remember Kyle Denney, the ... Remember Kyle Denney, the Cleveland pitcher who was saved from a career-ending bullet wound to the leg when a cheerleading go-go boot saved him? Last night while pitching for the AAA Buffalo Bisons, he was struck just above his right ear by a line-drive, suffering "a ruptured ear drum and a cerebral contusion, which is more severe than a concussion. The contusion was caused by the brain jarring against the skull" (emphasis mine). I can't figure out if he's super lucky or extremely cursed.
