Tim Brown retiring with the Oakland Raiders makes my day. Possibly the second best wide reciever of all-time decides to retire with the team he played 16 of his 17 NFL seasons with.

Is it me or should Andrew Bogut get a few good NBA seasons under his belt BEFORE he disrespects the players who helped pave the way for a big Australian to play ball.

Atlanta 87, Indiana 85 "On one possession, Jackson was handed the basketball on an inbound play as he tied one shoe, and Atlanta knocked it from his hands and out of bounds. When Jackson got the ball back, he was tying his other shoe and nearly threw it away. That drew boos from a crowd, which was weary of Indiana's lazy shots and lack of emotion."

And related to the article. I consider myself a true Pacers fan and watch nearly every game they play, but I agree it is very frustrating to watch a team with so mcuh talent take games off like that. I wouldnt go as far as saying I won't watch another game until the playoffs but the thought crosses my mind everytime they do this.

Fans BEWARE, Ron Artest vows to play "out of control"!!!! He says that he "will continue to play hard and out of control, like a wild animal that needs to be caged in" Also, when about whether he would react the same way he did the night of the attack he said, "I don't think anybody's going to throw anything at me, and I don't see me reacting how I reacted."

Playoffs don't need Berman's embellishments Couldn't agree more. Berman is good on Sportscenter, but not in the booth.

I can't get to the remote fast enough when I hear Chris Bermans' voice. He is so irritating with his name rhytming! They should put him back, back, back, back, back, back, back, back, back, back, back, back, back, too where ever they found him. He truely is annoying! posted by DAB I think DAB needs a sedative

Former NFL Star Wanted By Police Lawrence Phillips wanted by the police for attempted murder , what a surprise . I just wonder with his long history of crime (he started in college) why he isn't already in prison .

REJECTED Nets president Rod Thorn pulls the rug (and 6 year sign & trade deal) out from under Shareef Abdur-Rahim. This on the heels of the Hawks ownership trying to oust managing partner Steve Belkin over the logistics of the Joe Johnson trade.

I don't think this line of reasoning really sticks. I mean, Nowitzki, Howard, Daniels, and Finley didn't have a "noticeable drop" in offense, their defense did pick up however, but that may be more attributable to Avery Johnson's emphasis on Defense vs. Nellie's total lack of, or it could be that Nash was a sieve. Yes, that is still 4 offensive threats that must be guarded. Joe Johnson wouldnt have that in Atlanta.

Im not convinced that Joe Johnson is as good as he looked last year. His 17 points per game came on a team where he could score so many points in a game off of fast breaks. The real question is how many points can Joe Johnson score on a team without Steve Nash to pass the ball, and without Amare Stoudemire and Shawn Marion to take defensive pressure of him.
Kenny Rogers is free to pitch again. An Arbitrator today ruled that Bud Selig over steped his authority. I am sure ESPN will have fun with this one!

What happens when NBA GMs play fantasy basketball? You get a convoluted 5 team 13 player trade like this one.

Toss Out All The Hall Of Shamers Just a thought here , can you really punish someone ala McGwire for using steroids when there was no rules against using them at the time they played ? Didn't the rule just get established this season banning steroids ? Now if they knowingly used them while the rules were in force then by all means punish them . What if down the line they make new rules banning something else , do you remove some players previously elected ? Just a thought .

Now if they knowingly used them while the rules were in force then by all means punish them . So is that sending the message that as long as there's a loophole it's ok to cheat? I've already talked about this before but for a player like palmeiro who was around during the steroid era, you should, for lack of a better word, "grandfather" him in voting wise. Just look at how many people were probably using steroids while he played. Opposing pitchers, teammates, and so forth.
