Ryan Leaf on a tequila bender doesn't make that throw. I didn't like Quinn as a pro QB but what happened to make him so heroically bad?
posted by deflated at 01:56 PM on November 17
Time to give Leaf a call. "Ryan, this is Da Browns. Suit up. You are starting next Sunday."
Wait a minute though, isn't he in jail or something? Busted in Canyon, Tx for stealing some prescription drugs or something. Last job was QB coach and golf coach for DII West Texas A&M University. Maybe he can get an early release.

Being a Texan, of course he's going to show 'em his matching pair, pulled straight out of their rhinestone holsters.
Even in a blowout, there just ain't no such thing as an ordinary Bills - Titans (Oilers) game.

Bud Adams is not a Texan. His citizenship was revoked by the Governor when he fired Bum Phillips and then moved the team from Houston. I believe he was also forced to wipe the cow manure from the soles of his boots and turn in his Stetson and spurs. He is a complete disgrace. I think someone in the Texas State Legislature should bring up a bill that would disallow the Titans from wearing the Oilers uniforms. Shame.

When has Tony Romo ever refused to shoulder responsibility in a loss?
posted by rcade at 04:59 PM on November 16
I just hope Romo is complaining to the jerk that has obviously told him to get the ball to Williams more. Williams needs to be benched.

In an effort to do this quickly but with a nod to CindyKerry's noble sensitivities, I decided to cuss out all of the remaining Yankees at once. Here we go: posted by Demophon at 11:56 AM on November 10
My son is still laughing. Thanks for the consideration, and great words.

Btw, is it just me or doesn't Miles Austin resemble Alex Rodriguez a bit? posted by BornIcon
Sorry to yell,but... NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!. How am I supposed to get that idea out of my head now?

Smile :-) Now that is appreciated and funny. How do you say hardy har har on the internet? And, how 'bout them Cowboys! #11 Williams gave it a better effort and Miles Austin got his weekly dose of touchdown. I still say Miles is a mile ahead of Williams and has a sillier grin.

Gosh weedy, thanks for the understanding. I must clear up one fact though. I am Kerry and Cindy is my wife. I post and she usually laughs at my posts and brow beats me when I make stupid social faux paus. I post most everywhere as kerrycindy as we are inseperable. I am now going to fade into the woodwork on Sports Filter for a while and study you people for cues on proper social interaction.
And owlhouse, my boy would like to wish you and your son goodtimes ahead, and I second those sentiments.

Okay, I have read the posts since yesterday. I did come across as a jerk. Yes my son has heard the *word* before. As for being an account holder, you do not have to have an account to read what is on here, only to post. Yes I came across too strongly. owlhouse understands the feelings of a parent of an aspie kid. I will now reveal I also have Asperger's Syndrome and am not too good at the social interaction thing. I apologize to owlhouse and the others in the community. rcade, thanks for the patience. As for dusted, maybe I deserved all of it, but I am usually a very tolerent person and do not dwell on the sins of others. I do however fail to understand how the use of vulgarities in public or a public forum enhances anything, but maybe that is my Asperger's showing. We found out about my son's Autism Spectrum Disorder when he was 7. I was just diagnosed last year and am hoping that by knowing about my son at an early age we will be able to help him avoid the hurdles I have encountered in my 52 years.
A final apology, on this subject at least, to rcade, owlhouse, and tommytrump. One request, if you do not know what Asperger's Syndrome is please google it and learn about it. Autism affects, according to the lastest data, 1 in 93. Asperger's affects 1 in 250. Severe Autism is what we are most familiar with. Asperger's is at the other end of the spectrum along with High Functioning Autism and PDD/NOS. www.udel.edu/bkirby/asperger/ is a great site to explain things.

Please read my last post on the Thursday huddle. Gosh darn heck fire! Did not mean to cause such a fuss. Just want to enlighten some. By-the-way, My son, who is 11, did I point that out?, has Asperger's Syndrome, an Autism Spectrum Disorder. He is always trying to model neuro-typical behavior so that he will fit in better with so-called normal people. This led him to say yes F@#$ing sir to his middle school band director a couple of days ago. That resulted in me being called in to talk to the Vice-Principal. Not saying that reading the huddle made him do it, but it most likely did not help.
I realize it may be asking a bit much to ask people to think before they talk, but....
He led by example.

rcade, I mostly just want the adults on here to realize that some kids do like to read what is written on here and most men would and women should be sensitive to that. If it makes those that use such offensive language feel better then they may want to think about how the rest of the world views them. Just saying. I do want to let you know that my son and I very much enjoy reading most of the posts on here and very few of the posts contain vulgarities. To those that are able to post without the use of curse words, I thank and very much respect you. This will be my last post on the matter and I will council my son to realize that not all are as well educated as he is.
If I have offended anyone for taking them to task about their uneducated use of the English language, I apologize.
Now let us all pray for an all-Texas World Series in the near future. It will take Divine Intervention to make that happen.

I will not stop giving people flak about offensive language. So stop giving me flak about it. Real men have no need for such words. Increase your vocabulary.

Please stop giving people flak about language, Kerrycindy. As an admin it's on me that the comments are allowed.
It's great your son visits the site. I hope he enjoys it. But we're not going to adopt new rules against profanity after seven years. We've allowed some of it when there's a point to it, like Owlhouse's exaggerated unhappiness over another Yankees title. If you object to the language, find a browser plug-in that can remove objectionable words. I can't guarantee that this is a curse-free zone.
posted by rcade at 11:00 AM on November 05
You have got to be kidding. You are ok with children being able to check this site out and view offensive language. And tommytrump, believe it or not, Some people in this world still try to teach our kids better than that. Grow up.

Mr. Glanville, please reconsider. Portland State still needs you. Please do not become a commentator again.
