Rudy a hero, again? He sanitized NYC, and some people didn't like him too much for that. Then he was the face of bravery and poise for a city, and maybe even a nation, that needed it. Now he might save N.A. pro hockey. I know nothing beyond what the article provides, but count me as optimistically curious based on one fact: the man knows how to come out on top at a time of crisis.

I really doubt this is gonna happen.

Who's rooting for Danica tomorrow? The 2005 Indy 500 coverage starts at 10am PST/1pm EST on ABC tomorrow (pre-race coverage starts an hour before)! This is the first time I'll actually be interested in watching a car race. Vrrrrooooom!

lets see the NBA end up like the NHL is. I think it would great for America to see it happen. Not many people may care about hockey, but they do care about baketball.

I could do that. In her attempts to perform the Star Spangled Banner before a US-Canada exhibition hockey game in Montreal, singer Caroline Marcil forgot the words, started over, forgot them again, left the ice to get a lyrics sheet, returned to the ice, slipped and fell, got up, and left the arena without completing the performance.

"...the game began without either anthem being sung."

This is the lead in a very funny piece on Only a Game about "the Star Spangled Banner's misadventures in sports".

Sympathy for the Devil? After the hearing on Todd Bertuzzi's reinstatement to the NHL, SportsFilter columnist wfrazerjr will not be attending the athlete's pity party. "Let Todd Bertuzzi find another job," he writes, "one where preferably he can beat people up legally."

Nice Article

Bertuzzi argues for reinstatement. In a move that smacks of trying to talk your way into a party after everybody's exited out the back door, taking the keg and chips with them, Todd Bertuzzi will meet with NHL commissioner Gary Bettman today to plead his case for reinstatement to the league.

I agree with duncan. Myself, being a Stars fan, and a hockey player, i feel pretty bad for Moore. That would suck. I would sue, but im not him.

New Nets????? Who really thinks this will happen?

The only reason players arent scoring as much now is that goalies have caught up with the skill level of players. Players dont have as many tricks to fool goalies as we used to. (im a player myself)

NYR-East bounced in first round. Stephane & David Canseco. What is being lost. And isn't this guy's site like the theory that you can never reach point A from point B, but only infinitely cut the distance by half. (worst explanation in the history of explanations)
