Probably the most memorable sporting event I've ever witnessed is the 1985 Texas High School playoff game between Conroe and Temple. The game ended in a tie, with the winner (conroe) being decided by who had the most first downs; the deciding first down was achieved with a measurement so close, a credit card was used (true story-look it up). That game is prbably one of the greatest games in Texas High School football history (or should be).

I can say with all honesty, as having personally visited every city in the BIG 12 conference, this is not the rule, but the exception, to the treatment out of town visitors can expect when visiting these locales and supporting their team.
