Please do not attempt to trivialize the seriousness of this congressional hearing because it not longer suits your fantasy of morality in America. Clemens deserves the same vociferous media representation advertising money can buy. There are just as many people that dislike Clemens (b/c he is a fake), as they are people who dislike Bonds (I am one of them, b/c Barry Bond is a racebaters). Ultimately, we must remember this is not about an individual it speaks to the greater ideal that is America.

Some of you Rodger advocates where the same people bashing BARRY BONDS! Rodger CLEMENS deserves this and more! The government wants to prove that they did went after Bonds for the right reason and not because of his disenfranchisement as a black man in America. They had to go after Clemens (another cheat) to make sure this grand standing is fair.

Tom Brady Wearing Walking Cast The Patriots quarterback was spotted leaving a New York apartment Monday wearing a walking cast on his right foot, as shown in photos and a video on TMZ.Com. Brady's 124 consecutive starts at QB are the third longest streak in NFL history.

Brady is really hurt! I saw the play that injured him. I don't remember who sacked him. But he ducked to avoid the brunt of the hit and an O-linemen fell on his leg. He briefly grabbed the back of his knee&calf muscle. I am assuming it might be a sprained MCL or calf muscle. However, there is no way Brady is not ready to play.

New England By the Numbers The New England Patriots are not only 8-0 but also 8-0 against the spread, SportsFilter columnist Kyrilmitch_76 observes in his look at tomorrow's NFL games. "New England has beaten their opponents by an average of 41.4 to 15.9 and they have beaten the spread by an average of over 14 points per game."

Also, if it turns out Indy was pumping crowd noise in, what will you say about those cheaters? Greg Aiello from the NFL says (to 'EEI) that they are investigating whether the questionable crowd noise was a CBS problem or Indy broadcasting noise. posted by yerfatma at 9:35 AM CST on November 5 > yerfatma, I am glad you caught that. I recorded the whole thing. I hope the colts organization gets investigated too. THE COLTS ARE CHEATERS! LOL!
Newspaper: Rick Ankiel Received Human Growth Hormone Shipments Ankiel, the feel-good story in baseball this year after getting himself on the good side of earned runs (seven last night alone), ordered a 12-month supply of human growth hormone in 2004, according to an exclusive in today's New York Daily News. He allegedly received eight shipments of HGH from Signature Pharmacy, an Orlando firm that's at the center of an investigation into illegal online drug sales.

Of all the crazy proponents to the Rick Ankiel and Rodney Harrison HGH stories, the comment posted by holden holds the most water. I think an athlete under doctor's supervision could be allowed to use drugs to get to a baseline strength and conditioning after an injury. Guess what? It's always been done that way. However, the problem with that argument is, how to define "baseline". Also, Bonds is crucified not because of race/ethnicity as most in the media have tried to purport, but simply because he wasn't a nice guy in the media's critical lens. He let the pass (his father's treatment in the MLB) dictate his behavior in the present. Harrison (black guy) and Ankeil (white guy) for all intented purposes are media darlings and therefore get a free pass followed by a public relations slap on the wrist. They play the game by understanding that they are a brand marketed by none other than the media. Is it immoral to judge the stories with such hypocrasy? Yes. However, sports reporters are not of the United Congregation of the Mediast. They report sports news with all the bias and spin of a watercooler conversation about the new receptionist in client relations. The story has got to sizzle because the alternative is an arkward walk by to the cubicle, hoping for a better story tomorrow. End of story
Big Papi backs Bonds, doesn't know if he took steroids Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz says he thinks people should give Barry Bonds credit in his chase for Babe Ruth's record. Ortiz also said he couldn't be sure if he'd ever taken steroids or not.

sickleguy, I don't think you understand what steriods does to the body. It does not help you hit balls. But it helps the muscles recover very quickly from rigorous weightlifting. If Barry is taking the stuff it is not helping him knock balls out the park, but it is helping his ability to stand on those bad knees and recover afterwork outs. However I would doubt that he is even able to take the suff during the season since he is the most scrutinized player in the game. Therefore steriods has nothing to do with Barry when his on a Baseball diamond. Do you know what happen when you stop taking steriods? Assuming Barry can't take it during the season...his steriod powers would be nagated because it only works when you are taking is consistenly otherwise you get fat and Barry is anything but fat. Maybe a fat head, but that is about it. Also, if steriod is this almighty enhancer of ability then why is Barry not jumping higher and running faster? So steriod only affects the upper bodies ablity to perform at peak? Barry is the greatest HR hitter to play the game. the sooner we respect his accomplishments the sooner we accept our identity as a Nation.
bornIcon, I am sure that you would not like your son to lose on spot on the baseball team because doesn't want to take steroids or HGH. This is a public health crisis (like heroine, crack, etc...). If Iran was get anthrax from some scientist then that guy would be causing a public health crisis and we'd have a hearing for it too. The grandiose nature of this hearing is fine with me.
