Rowdy 'Redneck Games' Irk Neighbors There have been more than a few athletes accused of doping over the years - but the competitors at the "Texas Redneck Games" might just be dopes.

First it was sad, then suspiscious, then murder. Now, almost three months to the day after Pakistani Cricket team Coach Bob Woolmer was found unconscious in his hotel room, the Jamaican police confirm his death was from natural causes.

Tomorrow is Today for Nextel Cup... NASCAR announces that the Car of Tomorrow will be the only car run on the Nextel Cup circuit in 2008. The implementation is one year ahead of the original plan, and was driven by team economics. Also, in the fallout of Dale Earnhardt Junior's announcement that he's leaving Dale Earnhardt, Incorporated, DEI announces an engine-building partnership with Richard Childress Racing.

Let's reach up there and pull em tight one more time and Boggity Boggity, let's go racing boys gets my adrenaline pumping and I am ready for the race to get going. I may be an oddity, but I don't give a rats ass who likes or dislikes the car he has been hired to drive. If he doesn't want to drive it, I am sure there are three or four hundred people who do. They just need to stop complaining and do the job they were hired for. Drive the damn car and, oh, yeah, win the race!!!
NCAA may move 3-point line The men's 3-point line may be moved back one foot. This will make it 3 inches farther than the international line, but 3 feet closer than the NBA line (at its farthest point). The women's line will remain the same. Is this the right change? Was change needed?

Moving the three point line back is only a small step for college basketball. The next step, or leap if you may, would be to completely wipe out the alternating possession arrow. That is totally ridiculous and often rewards the wrong team for defensive pressure. Make 'em jump for it.
Dale Jr. Finishes Race For Competition's Car Kurt Busch wrecks, then leaves the track. His team gets his car ready to go back on the track, but doesn't have a driver. Enter Dale Jr. (already out of the race) who volunteered to take Busch's Hendrick's Motorsports Chevy out to finish the race, earning a few points for a competitor. Does this point towards Junior leaving for another team next season, or is he just too nice a guy, and could you EVER imagine Dale Sr. pulling this type of stunt?

Billy Donovan staying at the University of Florida; Brewer, Noah, Horford, and Green are not. Despite all the speculation, Billy Donovan, architect of the Gators' back-to-back National Championship teams, rejects Kentucky without even speaking to the university officially. He'll have to mold next year's team without juniors Corey Brewer, Joakim Noah, Al Horford and Taurean Green, who are all giving up their final year of college eligibility to head to the NBA.

Yup, yerfatma, Wooden could have convinced them to stay. But realistically, the NBA salaries were nowhere near what they are today. Why don't we all get out of the past and concentrate on what is happening in this day and time with people who are actually dealing with current day to day happenings? What someone may have done forty plus years aga probably won't apply today.
"The guy said, 'Hit the net like any Negro would.'" Serena Williams battled both Lucie Safarova and a racist heckler to win her third-round match at the Sony Ericcson Open on Monday, before going on to hand Maria Sharapova a 6-1, 6-1 defeat in the final on Tuesday.

I am so tired of "race" being brought into anything. i.e., so and so was the first "black" to win the event. Why do the sports writers have to bring that up? I would be thrilled to just see the winners listed with their name and accomplishments as an athlete. Let's all grow up and get real!!!!!

After a twelve pack, I would only be able to use the mattress conventionally. (that is lie down and take a nap) Wonder how far they would throw me?
