Talk about getting kicked in the teeth! Tennessee defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth cleated Dallas center Andre Gurode's face during the game Sunday, earning two penalties and an ejection. Update: In 2002, he kicked Titans center Justin Hartwig during training camp.

The "clutchiest" hits in MLB playoff history.
From Ortiz to Branca, from Brosius to Gibson, a semi-statistical breakdown of the biggest hits in MLB playoff history. So who had the clutchiest hit ever?
Tony Womack?!

Much Adu about Reading? 17-year-old soccer prodigy Freddie Adu is rumored to be going on loan to Reading in January. Current team DC United denies it. I think it'll be a good move for Freddie: Relatively low-profile team will allow him playing time at the top levels without too much (once again, it's relative to say, joining Chelsea or Arsenal, etc.) attention. He has yet to be tested in the toughest league, and he's done well to resist earlier offers from the likes of Man U and Milan, but he's old enough now, and he's had a nice warm-up in the MLS. But it's time to move on. Your thoughts?

After Hard Day's Work, Some Late Night TV "Most contending baseball teams spend the summer looking like mechanics in stirrups. Then comes September, when the masks are stripped and the human beings are revealed." A peek into a clubhouse in the midst of a playoff race. BugMeNot: bugmenot@dodgeit.com/bugmenot

Why don't any of these millionaires' have a limo??? Or at least use one when they are going to go out and party? Maybe this is something that should be thought of when writting out a $50,000,000 contract. If you get arrested you breach the contract and you have to pay it all back. Simple?
T.O. Reportedly Attempted Suicide although ESPN is citing an adverse reaction to painkillers as the reason for his being hospitalized.

I don't know about a lifetime ban, but he should definately have to sit out for at least 4 games or even the whole season. If he does it again the league will be liable for allowing him back on the field when they knew he was a danger to the other players. He needs a mental evaluation and some stress testing before he should be let back on the field.
