Is ESPN Killing the National Hockey League by Influencing Public Attitudes? By creating and reinforcing an expectation of failure regarding the NHL, ESPN is shaping public perception and contributing to the “death” of the NHL in the United States.

Giambi will cooperate with M.L.B.'s Probe Giambi said in a statement "......baseball will be best served by such a meeting." he would be 'candid about my past history regarding steroids."

Cheating to gain an advantage is part of all sports. If you knew who all the cheaters were, you might not watch anymore. In baseball they have used different things in different eras.Corking the bats and amphetamines come to mind but steroids is what they go after right now, but their are other ways to cheat. I think they pay enough by the damage they do to their health in the long run.The examples of people like Lyle Alzado should deter future abuse of roids! This Investigation will be a total waste of time and money and benifit no one.
Martin finds himself odd man out ... again Kevin Harvick comes from 7th in the final laps to win the Daytona 500 by .020 seconds. The ending was well worth waiting for. Congrats to Kevin Harvick and the Sportsmanship Award should go to Mark Martin.

You have to run all out till the yellow comes out,no matter what happens behind you! Mark Martin said he got beat and Harvick could not have done it with out the bump drafting of his teamate Jeff Burton who pushed the 2 cars in front of him to put Kevin in the lead.It would have been ridiculas to restart a race already in overtime after that mess.Sorry Mark I wanted you to win but thats racin,it sure wasn't boring.
Tradin' paint over control of DEI Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and his stepmother, Teresa, are locked in a battle for majority ownership of Dale Earnhardt Inc. Could the son end up leaving the race team his father built, and would he be better off if he did? One NASCAR commentator seems to think so.

A typical family busines, some one builds it up and dies, then some one else sucks the life out of it. She is a business woman yes,but DEI needs someone at the helm with real passion for the sport and winning not just marketing products to sell. She forgets that DEI should be a race team first and foremost! A winning one!I wish Dale Jr. all the best.I think he can only do better either way. Its time for Teresa to admit she can't run a raceteam. With out him she will be running a museum in no time at all.She lost NAPA and also Ty Norris,Budweiser will be next following Dale Jr. when he leaves.

The Yanks need more youth and need to play as a team. Steinbrener's allstars are either too old, injured or not motivated enough to perform well. These overpaid fatcats aren't hungry enough to get the job done! Yankee managment needs to change their recipe for sucess. The fish stinks from the head down.
In any sport you have to stay loyal to your core fan base.Because of greed many sports expand too fast or into the wrong areas. The season is too long overlapping basketball and baseball. The playoffs are the start of the real season, too many teams get in.The season goes too far beyond what origanly was a winter sport. The players themselves are not that marketable except a few. Some changes have to be made in the leauge and in their promoting and coverage. They will probably never be a top 4 sport again. But I hope they can turn it around!
