Fatal fall at Yosemite shocks climbing world Skinner, a 47-year-old former rodeo cowboy and world-renowned rock climber, fell more than 500 feet to his death Monday after the nylon loop used to attach the climbing rope to his harness broke. The accident has sent shock waves through the climbing community, where Skinner's outgoing nature was almost as legendary as his courage and skill on some of the world's most dangerous rock faces.

Big guns in the Bush league I don't see how it is fair that so many Nextel Cup drivers are allowed to drive in the Bush series. If they want to run with the Bush guys make them pick only five races per season. Bush was developed so newer drivers would have a season of their own to gain experiance and attempt to get to the big league. They don't even have a chance in the points when you have Stewert, Martin, Bush, Kayne, etc out there running them down because they have better access to set-up technology and engine tuning. Keep the the Cup guys on thier playground and let the Bush guys have their own sandbox. There is surely not enough money in Bush to attract the Cup guys.

Green Light... RED LIGHT! haha go back to the beginning. While crew chief Roy McCauley argued the call - and the ensuing penalty that left Busch as the last car on the lead lap - NASCAR officials said the caution and the light closing pit road happened 2 seconds before the driver headed past the commitment line for a stop.

posted by everett at 08:50 AM on August 14

This is quite possible the dumbest rule in NASCAR. They need to put the commit line well ahead of the entrance to the pits to allow drivers time, should something like this happen, to abort their entrance into the pits Once your past the Commitment Line You have to go throught the pits or you get a penalty, You cant just turn left and avoid pit lane

Jeremy Mayfield released from ride Oh well, JM needs to accept that he wasn't doing good and his attitude wasn't real good either. Ray Evernham needed to make changes so he let JM go. JM wants to try and take the team to court over this. What a waste. Get over it Jeremy and move on!

Baldwin did not drive the car Jeremy did,put a rookie in there or someone who can work well with others, that Jeremy is a snotty brat.He was not to good anyway even with Baldwin,I would have replaced him 2yrs ago.10th 2yrs and 9th one yr. ago and still wasn't a threat to win the chase.See you in the truck series. Jeremys Crew Chief in 04/05 was Kenny Francis and Kasey Kahnes 04/05 Crew Chief and Kahnes 06 Crew Chief was Kenny Francis and im not sure who Jeremy Mayfields 06 Crew Chief was but it was not Tommy Baldwin cause Tommy Baldwin was Elliott Sadler Crew Chief So I dont Know where you got that Tommy Baldwin was Jeremy Mayfield Crew Chief

Mayfield was competive finish 10 and 9 in the standings in 2004 and 2005 with a win in each season but than Baldwin left and they just had to take Kenny Francis (Mayfields Crew Chief) and put him with Kasey Kahne in the #9 Dodge and get a new Chief for Mayfield, its not Mayfields fault hes not competive its Evernhams for taking away his crew chief Mayfield should be pissed at Ray for what he did

BetOnSports Bettors Seek Return of Money Back in the day when I was still a degenerate gambler (clean of gambling 30 years this September) I don't think I would have stood a chance of stopping if online gambling was available. That said, since this company is based in Costa Rica, I don't see how the Fed's can make them give the money back or confiscate it like they're threatening to. If I was one of their customers I'd just write it off as a bitter learning experience.

Yeah thats all their fault [Online Bettors], Most Sports Betting is illegal (in the US) but we [Americans] cant do anything about that so if your a sports bettor and you lost all that money, IT'S YOUR FAULT [Online Bettors] I cant believe they were actually forced to Shut Down by a US judge their not doing anything illegal in Costa Rica, are they?

Small in team size, not financial. Even the richest team only gets so much test time though. Roush and their, what 6, drivers get more test time as a whole. Penske gets 1/3rd of that and so does Hendrick. Yeah the money is their for them but even deep pockets can't get them more "legal" testing. That is where DEI is, and I think Michael Waltrip was probably not a good test buddy since I believe he has enough trouble driving a track in a car that is set up right. Imagine him shaking out a new car...yikes Hendrick has 5 cars not 2 (5, 24, 25, 44, 48) and who gives a S*** if Jr isnt in the cahse
