T.O. Reportedly Attempted Suicide although ESPN is citing an adverse reaction to painkillers as the reason for his being hospitalized.

I heard the same report on the radio here in chicago...i wouldn't be surprised if he did attempt suicide...the guy is absolutely crazy. earlier, his publicist said it was an allergic reaction to pain killers and is nothing to worry about...liar.

Northwestern University football coach Randy Walker is dead. He died last night of an apparent heart attack. Walker was 52 years old and was the second winningest coach in school history.

Randy was really underrated as a coach - despite the talent and size that he had to work with, he was still able to make Northwestern a successful program over the years.

C U Later Paul Silas was fired by the slumping Cleveland Cavaliers today, less than a week after he made an anatomically specific insult about Carlos Boozer. His son was fired too.

What about Mr. Flip Saunders? Experience with High School -> NBA (Garnett), plus he is quite the leader.

Harrington era may be over in Detroit. (A/S/L check req.) Millen continues his man-crush on Joey, while Mooch and his staff want to go another way. Is 3 years a long enough time to call a QB a bust?

There isn' t much to be said about the Lions play calling either...blaming their problems on Harrington is only the tip of the iceberg. Their offense doesn't work because its quite predictable... sig.

As for the cubs...he isn't what they really need. He's another strikeout or homerun hitter (albeit he can steal bases). But I think whoever takes him better surround him with on-base guys. It would be death for the cubs to sign him - even though I want them to!!

It cost Fox and CBS a combined $8 billion, but the networks are retaining their broadcast rights to Sunday-afternoon NFC and AFC games, respectively, through 2011. DirecTV has also renewed its contract, and retains exclusive rights to the "NFL Sunday Ticket" package. And the rich keep getting richer...

Although the new deals include no changes in the current kickoff times, the NFL has the option to move seven late-season games from Sunday afternoon to Monday night to feature more attractive match-ups in prime time in a concept league officials called "flexible scheduling." Interesting...i've always thought something like this should be incorporated into all of sports -- especially football -- honestly, who cares to watch a MNF game of two non-playoff teams late in the season?? Interested to see how this plays out...
