Tkachuk to the Thrashers as NHL Moving Day approaches In the wake of Peter Forsberg heading to Nashville, the Atlanta Thrashers acquired Keith Tkachuk from the St. Louis Blues on Sunday. The Blues get Glen Metropolit, first- and third-round picks this year and a second rounder in 2008. Atlanta also nabbed Alexei Zhitnik from Philly on Saturday. Who else should be packing their bags, who should be in the market and what moves should your team make?

With 45/40, Alfonso Soriano is in elite company, but can he do it again? This writer seems to think not.

I've said for years that Soriano wouldn't be able to hit 40/40 in 2007, and I'm not about to change my mind now! how can you say for years someone wont do something in a specified year, is that the same as me saying D Jeter wont hit 40 hrs in 2010? maybe im just reading this wrong? anyone? soriano however is an outstanding player and i see him doing it again
Blues' incredible streak is over Last night, the St. Louis Blues officially ended a run of post-season appearances that began in the 1979-80 season. Oddly, a pretty extensive search revealed only this story about the Blues' sale to Dave Checketts, which mentions the streak in a footnote.

Keyshawn to Panthers Keyshawn Johnson is going to the Panthers in a $19 million deal with a $5 million signing bonus he negotiated personally. This should be good to see Steve Smith fight for the 1 spot.

whats with KJ saying they have they best recieving tandem in the NFL as good as smith is and as good as KJ was beore i just dont think they can compete against a (healthy )HOLT BRUCE but they do have a better QB then the rams (in my mind) still GO RAMS with their new coaching staff they will have a lot better season then last
Backchecking: More Trades A-Bruin Expect more player movement in Beantown this summer, dissension is the word of the week in Vancouver and Devils have cracked their EGG line. Hot n' Not, Farm Report, Junior Report and the best in quotes, Chirping, in this week's edition of TSN.ca's Backchecking.

sorry sandi but as much as i love shanahan even more now since hes in DETROIT but you have to realize even though no one and u know as much as i do (i live 10 minute for stl) no one like'd keenan for getting rid of him but I think Pronger has finished among the top D-Men quite a few times of his span in stl Norris and Hart trophy winner. how many awards did shanny get since leaving stl besides the Lord Stanleys
Belfour's season is over The Leafs placed Belfour on injured
reserve Thursday, ending a disappointing campaign for the
40-year old netminder.

wingnut i must commend you for your picture posted on the 24th i hate the avs as much as the blues, and as for myself I am a RED WING fan but my greatest memory of Eddie is about 13-15 yrs ago (around playoff time if not) CHI vs STL and him beating his stick over the crossbar after i believe janney held him behind the net what shanahan put the puck in the net while laying on the ice. AHHH what memories

i hate st louis but think legace is one of the best goalies in the league, im really a red wings fan. But since losing players like yzerman retired and shanahan rangers, legace blues. ive liked st louis more and more lately. losing thachuk is sad for the city because he will be missed for the rest of the season, but if he resigns in the off-season st louis will be a top team again next year or in 2009 Cahokia,IL (5 miles from downtown St. Louis)
