After the Siren? The umpires 'didn't hear' the end of game siren, play continued and Saint Kilda scored a point to tie the scores. Fremantle have protested and the result is now before a tribunal, or may even go to court. Controversy at an Australian Football League game

USC's 2004 BCS Championship Could Be In Jeopardy All thanks to Mr. Bush, if he his ruled ineligible for as much as one game the BCS could look to take away USC's 2004 championship. Funny how that potential three-pete could turn into only a share of a championship.

look, what did anyone do in this investigation that would have dramatically altered the fact that the sooners got there asses handed to them by USC. it was bush's family that did the wrong, and either way, how does a home have anything to do with the results on the field. can anyone contest that USC did not deserve that title? you have to rememeber were not talking about steroid allegations or shady boosters to players. the ncaa needs to get real and cut through all this bullshit (personally i think the media is feeding the fire becuz controversy sells, and i hope thats true).

wow...good job. i dont know if its right for the league to fine players though. i dont see what it accomplishes either. a basketball player complaining about a call is pretty common, so people would probably ignore it. fining the guy just gets the media circus started, and then puts refs in the spotlight...
'American sports are played with the hands. Using your feet is for commies'. Millions of children grow up in America playing football. But they all give up by the age of 10. Award-winning writer Dave Eggers explains just why his country will never understand the sport they insist on calling soccer.

In response to the idea that you can't take a dive in american sports i'd say thats very wrong. kickers do it all the time, oftenleading to second chances that cost the other team the game. and to say that you can't fake catching a ball, maybe you need to play/watch more baseball. it's called trapping, and im damn well sure theres a handful of players who have faked a catch knowing full well all they did was trap it. should i go back to football and mention WR begging refs for calls on pass interference? maybe you should watch a game of aussie rules football to see the shit those guys go through to get the ball, and you wont say "american sports dont allow divers"
Japan wins World Baseball Classic While half of America slept, and the other half blissfully ignored the event, Japan defeated Cuba, 10-6, in the title game of the inaugural World Baseball Classic. Well, maybe not classic, but not bad, and no one refused to play left field. Japan's Matsuzaka took MVP as Sadaharu Oh, the most legendary and storied player in the history of Japanese baseball, added to his legacy.
