Ahh yes Great success!!!! Most people who are familiar with heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko know that he's Ukranian. What's less widely known is that Klitschko was actually born in Kazakhstan. What are his views on Borat

Steeler announcing great dies at 79 He was Pittsburgh's Harry Carry. You loved or hated him. Very rarely did he make sense but more times then not, you found youself turning down the TV and turning up the radio to hear Cope announce the game. He was a legend in Pittsburgh and he will not soon be forgotten. If you never heard him, you missed a great one. Pop open an Iron City at Cope's Cabana and drink to one of the greats.

Red Wings' boozy confession: We jacked up the Stanley Cup. And no, the dent wasn't "slight."

Detroit Red Wings v Pittsburgh Penguins.
Remembering Pittsburgh's Best OT Wins.

I agree the first goal is important but with these teams and what we have seen so far, who knows. I am just looking for another night of Flurey on his head and Maybe Malkin finally getting going.
Pens win the game tonight, the cup is ours. To bad the pens will have to win it in Detroit.

While it was tough to watch my boys lose, It was a hell of a game and a decent series. The wings were the better team this year, but I think we are looking at a Pens team that will be here a few more times in years to come. Thanks for setting these up NOMich. Well done Detroit.

Penguins running out of time.

Watching a powerless 5-3 powerplay be killed with ease, killed my confidence with the same blow. Would love to see a Yankee/Boston type comeback, but I am running out of positive vibes.

I am just happy to finally see Malkin on the score sheet. He assisted on the OT goal.
YYM, i will give you that trip was a bad call, the problem is the refs need to call everything or nothing. They seem to change period to period as to how they are calling the game.. That was the right call in OT.
My favorite part of the game was watching that guy put the cup back in its crate. I just hope Fluery can keep it going. Dont stop believing.
Game 3.
Detroit Red Wings v Pittsburgh Penguins.
What's happening with the Penguins? What changes do they need to make?

They will have all the boost they need tonight when the home crowd blows the arena up. They always wake up at home. Look for the series back in Detroit tied at 2!!!

All you Detroit fans, don’t plan that parade just yet. The fire is back. Its just like when Rocky cuts Drago, they aren't invincible. The home crowd woke then up. It’s a series again.
Tahoemoj don’t worry still plenty of hockey left to play.

I think the Pens got a wake up call in the first two games. BUt home ice is ours. Those of you that watched could hear the crowd over the announcers. This team thrives on that. I feel that once we win tomorrow, the momentum will be ours. We realized last night we can play with this team. This team has gone on rolls all season and I just feel this is the start of another. I see us lifting the cup at home after game 6. Call me crazy if you must. Hearing interviews with players today, they sound like that team that rolled through the playoffs. Despite being down, they have all the confidence in the world. Sid seems ready to throw the team on his back and take them the distance. He was just waiting for the games to be on national TV!!!

The main difference between the Penguins' win and the Wings' wins are that while the Wings seemed to dominate the Penguins, the Penguins did not dominate the Red Wings
As a pittsburgh fan, i flash back to the 1960 worlds series
1. Yankees – 4, Pirates – 6
2. Yankees – 16, Pirates – 3
3. Pirates – 0, Yankees – 10
4. Pirates – 3, Yankees – 2
5. Pirates – 5, Yankees – 2
6. Yankees – 12, Pirates – 0
7. Yankees – 9, Pirates – 10
The Yanks outscored them 55 - 27 and lost the series. I can see the Pens winning one goal games, and the redwings winning their games big(except they probably aren't going to win anymore) and gary Roberts will be our Mazeroski with the walk off homerun.

I know its a stretch, but you have to keep the faith. If you asked me if i would bet a large sum of money on my positive feelings, well i may not be as sure......
Right now though, being in Pittsburgh, The city is going nuts and I am a believer.
ESPN Fires Pittsburgh Radio Host Mark Madden Last Wednesday, ESPN 1250 host Mark Madden responded to news of Sen. Ted Kennedy's illness with this comment: "I'm very disappointed to hear that Senator Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts is near death because of a brain tumor. I always hoped Senator Kennedy would live long enough to be assassinated." This Wednesday, he's looking for a new job. AOL Fanhouse blogger Ryan Wilson's response: "It couldn't have happened to a nicer jerk."

As a Pittsburgher, I won't miss him. He is an ass and has alwasy said whatever he felt just to make the news himself. His reporting was poop and mostly he just ranted about unrelated issues. I have always discussed my desire to to punch him in the face freely. Hope I still get the chance.
The penguins broke the top off in Mario's pool in 92. I will always love being able to say I drank from it in 91. it was unreal. The greatest trophy in sport. Something seems to happen to it every year. Can't wait to see what the pens do with it next season.
When the pens won the cup in 91, they were doing the "everyone gets a day with the cup". Well that also includes training staff. My father was good friends with one of the trainers who lived in Aliquippa Pa. For those not from PA, Aliquippa is not the best part of town. So anyway, we went to a pool party at this trainers house and the cup was there sitting by the pool on a card table. It was awesome. I opened, poured and drank an Iron city out of it. I will never forget that day.
and BO, you say that like you wouldnt have had some yourself. Germafobe
I hope so Bo. I will never forget that day. I still have a picture of me drinking out of it on the mirror in my bedroom .
Sorry i didnt pack my own beer but come on, how much more pittsburgh can you get. I honestly didnt really believe that the cup was even going to be at this party till I got there. I was thinking yeah, right, the cup up in plan 12 in Aliquippa! YEAH THATS THE TICKET!!! But there it was.
