Sonics are Oklahoma City-bound "The transition and move of this team begins tomorrow morning," Bennett said in Oklahoma City, where he announced that season ticket sales for the soon-to-be named franchise at Ford Center would begin Thursday.

I should care that the Sonics are leaving, but I just don't. I have tried to get upset, but I just can't.

My interest dwindled after George Karl was let go. Seemed to me that at that point the emphasis shifted away from winning to something else. Also helps to explain why Nate McMillan, Mr. Sonic, left for Portland. Perhaps he knew that there might not be a Seattle club for much longer. I wonder if the great Kevin Callabro, the Sonics TV guy for so long, will be following the club? I'll miss him more than the team.

Video: Diamondbacks Catcher Chris Snyder Fractures Left Testicle Although the injury report just says that Arizona Diamondbacks catcher Chris Snyder is on the 15-day DL with a groin injury, the team revealed that he suffered a "left testicular fracture" Monday when hit by a foul ball. "Suspended in the scrotum, a skin pouch below the penis, each testicle is surrounded by the tunica albuginea, a tough, fibrous covering that often takes the hit of trauma to the gland," according to UrologyHealth.Org. "Like the shell of an egg, it can be easily 'fractured' or shattered when confronted by a blunt or violent force." See the video.

Oh gosh that has got to hurt. You just hope that a guy can come back from an injury like that.

After all, just getting into the majors is a tough nut to crack.

Joey's was good, but I liked rocketman's.

So, grum, on the scorecard is that considered a foul ball?

Are you ready for some football?....Sit Down! The Kansas City Chiefs have a "Fan Code of Conduct," which is essentially a list of rules that fans have to follow when they're attending a game at Arrowhead.

posted to Football at 7:50 PM CDT

So if the rules are enforced correctly, I think it's a great idea to bring families back to football.

If you wanna get my family to go to the game, don't enforce a bunch of code of conduct rules, lower the frakkin' prices.
My two cents says that if you encourage fans to rat out their fellow fans via text messaging, the local proctologist will be quite busy performing cell phone-ectomys.

Couple of things here:

I have kids and even I know the difference between the WOO HOO! type fans and an infant wailing his head off. Human beings are wired to get agitated at the cry of a baby. It forces us to want to fix the cause of the distress to the child. Fans cheering at a football game go with the territory. But another point is why would you take a toddler to a football game in the first place? If you can't find a sitter, you don't go to the game. Or the movies. Or the restaurant. The end. Why does a sporting event have to cater to a family?

Something else that seems to be pointed out here is the conduct being exhibited at stadiums. Maybe I'm just lucky to attend games in Seattle (well, except for the M's this year) because I've never had anyone spill beer on me, puke on me or near me for that matter, swear too much, or behave in an overly boorish manner. As for my kids, I just let them know that some people are better behaved than others and what I expect from people I take to a game. I know that it's bad some places because you all have educated me to that fact. I just have never experienced it here.

ghost, I think you missed my point. Completely.

I didn't say that sports venues should prohibit children from entering stadiums. I asked why do they feel the need to cater to families at the possible exclusion of others. Different things entirely. As for my quote about the infant wailing his head off, that was about on third of the actual sentence I wrote. My point was actually an acknowledgement of the fact that infants crying can be annoying. I never said anything about "shitty diapers in the isles". Do you mean the Brtitish Isles? Naw, I know what you meant.

I don't feel in the least like you were making fun of my opinion as I don't think you actually addressed what it was. But quite possibly you quoted me and were addressing l_b_b.

And I have one question for you:

I reach, brother.

Ya' know, there are some real differences between attending NFL games in the stadium and watching at home: I like to watch the game completely drunk and naked.

Ya' just can't do that sort of thing at home.

I'll be here all week. Try the veal.

Christian News Site Turns Athlete Homosexual OneNewsNow, an online news service owned by the American Family Association, has been editing AP stories to automatically replace the word "gay" with "homosexual," filing numerous stories about the American sprinter Tyson Homosexual and the NBA player Rudy Homosexual. One story still online: "Memphis Grizzlies backers hit the hay hoping that Kevin Love would open things up for Rudy Homosexual in the frontcourt."

I wouldn't touch this topic with a ten foot pole. Too much of a slippery-slope.

Wait...you're gay?

You mean happy? Because I'm happy as a clam.

Uh, oh. Do you think I could get auto-edited for that?

You can't do without Shaq! Noted rapper Shaquille O'Neal, (8 albums, 1 platinum, 5 gold), goes freestyle on Kobe. Despite Shaq claiming that it was done in fun, Deputy O'Neal is being fired coast to coast.

posted to Basketball at 11:46 AM CDT

Not that I would have any first hand (or second hand) knowledge of this, but I would guess that Shaq's ass tastes like sofa because that was what he was sitting on while Kobe was playing in the Finals.

Comment icon posted at 1:35 PM CDT on June 26

Okey dokey.

Comment icon posted at 2:22 PM CDT on June 26

Even if there were, could you blame him? It was indeed Kobe that 'ratted' Shaq out and in turn, Shaq's wife is divorcing him.

Yeah, I'm having a difficult time putting Shaq in a white hat for his innocent and virtuous behavior. Look, I don't care what the hell Shaq says in some nightclub, but let's not portray Kobe as the bad guy and Shaq as the good guy.

Didn't Shaq win a title without Kobe? I wonder who the joke was on then?

Your gonna resort to calling the ghost of Howard Cosell to make your point with "little monkey"?

Now, if you're going to bring up the past in one statement, you ought to allow the past to be brought up in another. From my point of view I see two men who have beautiful wives that seem to treat their husbands well. And their husbands fucked around on them. Not exactly laudable behavior on either man's part. And both are worthy of my derision. If Shaq doesn't want what he says to be taken seriously, he should be more aware of where he says stupid shit. Or at least own up to the fact that he said it and not puss out by saying "Oh, we joke like that all the time." and expect people to actually believe it.

So Shaq and Kobe are both scumbags for have extra-marital affairs?

Yes.

So, because they both happened to be weak in a situation with another woman, they're now scumbags?

Yes.

Is Magic Johnson a scumbag for cheating on his wife while playing for the Lakers?

Yes.

How about Michael Jordan?

Yes.

Bill Cosby?

Yes.

Granted, they are all talented individuals who probably have contributed to the communities in which they live. But people who cheat on their wives are scumbags. It's a scumbag move. The position that you are taking is frankly indefensible.

Comment icon posted at 2:19 PM CDT on July 1

They are crappy husbands, but that doesn't define the man.

And I say it does. Infidelity is a character defining choice. In some instances it can be a legally actionable transgression. Men (or women) who have achieved greatness aren't necessarily people of great character. Scumbag wasn't actually my word of choice; I latched onto it to make a point. For the sake of clarifying my position, please substitute something that defines my opinion of their low character trait in regard to the commitment that they have chosen to ignore, such as adulterer. Or cheater. Or philanderer. And I happen to think those types of folks are, well, scumbags. Perhaps that's something we don't agree on.
