For any SpoFites who do not have a cable subscirption I recommend checking out Hola, which is a free VPN proxy.
For those with streaming only Netflix only subscriptions it also opens up many more movie options. Sadly, it does not work if you also receive DVDs in the mail from Netflix.

All four BCS games were fantastic. This year really delivered.
That said, I hate to see the Orange Bowl end without Clemson's "interception" being reviewed. I'm not sure which is sadder, the failure to take another look at what was a dubious interception at best or the announcer's contention that it was an interception because he had possession at some point while he was rolling on the ground.

Isn't McCown an alternative? He had far superior numbers than Cutler this year.
First, sample size. Second, as MeatSaber said McCown is 35 and is contemplating retirement so that he can be closer to his family in North Carolina. McCown is not a long term solution and it would have been silly for the Bears to let Cutler go in hopes that they could groom a successor for McCown.

I'm not sure what they expected. I doubt any coach would win many games starting a hodgepodge of Brandon Weeden, Jason Campbell, and whichever scrub they chose to put at running back.

Only having won five Super Bowls must be so hard.
I think our pain is greater than anyone else's.
I'm inclined to agree. But Lions fans don't know pain of losing a Super Bowl feels like. Then again, I imagine it is something similar to watching Sidney Crosby hoist the Stanley Cup at Joe Louis Arena.

Also, for anyone keeping track the Lions have 19 turnovers in their past five games.

I hate the Lions. I hate being a Lions fan. I hate that the Lions were robbed of a touchdown on a missed pass interference call. I hate that Justin Tucker nailed a 61 yard field goal to put a nail in the coffin on their season (most likely). I hate that the Lions threw picks on two third and short situations. I hate that when the Lions finally control their own destiny they once again prove to be the same old Lions.
I was one and a half years old the last time the Lions won a playoff game. I will probably have one of my own by the time they win another.

Did you see Peter King's Game 150 on MMQB recently? They pretty much do all this stuff already.
I strongly recommend reading the series if you have not already. It is a three part series and provides a great look into the preparation and mindset of NFL officials.
The Dallas defense gives up five touchdowns in one half and people are still making this about Romo. His last pick was because an inexperienced receiver cut short a route. Even the best quarterbacks throw a few picks like that.
I agree with you but Romo also deserves his fair share of blame for the last play. He audibled out of a called run play at the line of scrimmage. The offensive line is run blocking and Demarco Murray was clearly expecting a run play.
Edit: If the left tackle had known it was a pass they probably would have completed it. Beasley was open initially but Matthews had a clear path to Romo.

The Lions/Eagles game yesterday marked the first time in 56 years where no points were scored on kicks. The Lions attempted one extra point, which was blocked. Schwartz had to call a timeout beforehand to give his players time to clear a spot for Akers to kick from.

The same Louisville with its impressive set of wins against...UCF? Connecticut? Ohio State who, after barely beating a pathetic Michigan team, loses to Michigan State?
And yes, the SEC, whose teams have won the past seven national championships, is 17-8 in BCS bowls since 1998, and has more bowl wins than any other conference since 1998.

It doesn't mean Blackmon can't somehow resurrect his career. But it's highly unlikely, so he should have to do it somewhere else. He has let the Jaguars down one time too many. . . .
If Jacksonville doesn't want him I'm sure there are many NFL teams who will jump at the chance to sign someone with his talent.
Hopefully this will be the wake up call he needs. More importantly, hopefully he can get the treatment he needs to overcome this.

What horrible positioning by the third base umpire during the 8th inning. He was close enough that he could have been playing third base himself.
There have been several very poor displays of umpiring in the ALCS. Thankfully they don't seem to have had an impact on any of the games.

Do you think they have the better team if Cabrera is fully healthy?
I do think the Sox have a big edge towards the bottom of the lineup. Between the bottom three hitters and the bench players the Sox have players who could potentially come up big with a pinch hit home run or steal a base when needed. The Tigers, on the other hand, get to choose between which player they will put in to strike out.
