Hidden: Bonnie Bernstein Compares High School Hoops Stars to Suicide Bombers: On today's Mike & Mike Show on ESPN Radio, the longtime sideline reporter reportedly compared prep basketball phenoms to kids raised to be suicide bombers. "She said they are programmed to pursue the NBA and its big money, and likened them to Palestinian children who she claimed were programmed to become suicide bombers," according to a Wikipedia edit that beat the news media to the controversy. "... many listeners demanded ESPN make a public apology for her comments."

I pulled this story offline until there's real confirmation. The Wikipedia editor appears to be a college student in Illinois affiliated with Muslim student groups, and I wonder whether he heard what he think he did.

It is true. My brother was listening to the radio live when he heard it. He couldn't believe it!

This is kind of a weird way to get into a story, but Bonnie Bernstein is one of the hottest search terms on Google today, so I went looking for the reason. We live in a strange media environment.
