Call me Billinho!: The Nike-sponsored Ginga documentary is now out (previous thread) and I saw it last night on FoxSoccerChannel. Enjoyable 45 minutes or so, and they'll be showing it several more times that I noticed over the next couple of weeks, plus you can go to the downloads link and grab the entire video. Focus is on half a dozen youngsters who embody the joyful spirit of Futebol Brasiliero including pre-Real Madrid Robhino plus the required brief visit from Ronaldinho.

The Nike page is a Flash app, so (a) not sure my link will work for everyone else and (b) cannot direct link to the downloads. Video is posted in high (750MB) and low (150MB) quality versions. Most of the links from the previous thread are 404 or otherwise bad.

Are you sure that's not Billyinho? Thanks for the link -- worked fine for me to make it through to the video.

Yes, very nice show... I wish FSC would have more special reports like this... I mean, Soccer America?! Who the hell watches that shit?!

They need someone like Nike or BBC to pay the cost. Shows like Soccer America and Football Friday are pennies by comparison. But I agree with you.

Cool link, bill. Thanks! Just brings back memories of playing anywhere with anything, on dirt fields, tarmac, concrete floors, with tennis balls, tupperware, basketballs, volleyballs, ... Good times, good times.

I don't mind Football Friday...the program. The hosts? Good lord, where did they get those tools?!
