Hidden: Torre headed to Chavez Ravine: With Girardi set to become the Yankees new skipper and Randolph seemingly holding on for dear life in Queens, Joe Torre seems to be headed to the City of Angels, where he will succeed Grady Little, whose run in LA failed to produce a single playoff win.

Also, the FPP makes this sound as more of a fait accompli than it really is. Little has not been fired, Torre has not been hired, and we're basically running a rumor from a paper with a fairly tabloidy approach to its sports section. The mods can (and presumably will) combine these or simply delete this, in which case you can post the Torre rumor in the Girardi thread.
