I suspect more comments will take issue with your assertion that Woody was the greatest college coach of all-time, than will note Mr. Enarson's passing. That said, Enarson presided over some great days in Buckeye history.
That said, Enarson presided over some great days in Buckeye history. Indeed he did, but unfortunately his firing was a requirement; personally, I was a McKay fan, although there's no denying Woody's greatness and impact. It's not unlike the necessity of firing Bobby Knight. There comes a time when firey coaches get too involved in the sport in which they are supposed to be coaching rather than competing.
Bo Schembechler was twice the coach Woody was and with less mouth. There are several more coaches that come to mind right off the top of my head that were better then Woody....like Bear Bryant...John McKay....and of course Eddie Robinson. Woody was great, but the greatest? No way!
