These are very funny quotes - I've been reading them off and on all day. Thanks salmacis.

We had Murray Walker in New Zealand for the most recent Dunlop Targa, riding as navigator to former Formula One driver Chris Amon. His enthusiasm for motor sport, as the page notes, is palpable and his effusive nature is probably responsible for most of his Murrayisms.

Chris Amon? Bloody hell, he must be old, he's in Grand Prix Legends!

Actually, he was born in 1943, so he's only 60. He spent most of the 80s and 90s doing work in New Zealand for Toyota, helping them improve the suspension setups and handling on their cars. He's the only survivor of the New Zealand F1 racers; McLaren died in one of his cars in the 70s (and most New Zealanders are, sadly, unaware that McLaren the racing outfit started out with a Kiwi); Dennis Hulme died in the 90s behind the wheel, suffering a heart attack during a race at Bathhurst.
