It looks as if Nashville is going to match Philly's offer to Shea Weber. That's good, and hey, those Red Wing heads aren't just going to smash their own heads against the glass.

Ever since the Jim Balsillie incident, I regard any article by the G&M about Nashville as tabloid fodder/borderline propaganda. But threre's one line I agree with:

When he[Weber] agreed to the Flyers' offer sheet, even though it was set up to maximize the chances the Predators would not match it, Weber had to know there was a good chance they would.

and from south of the border:

He's the team captain. He'll be welcomed back in Smashville like it were any other year, maybe even moreso now.

I don't see the front loaded deal hurting Nashville owners as much as some predict, because front row seats are now even more than I am willing to pay yet they still managed to sell them. (I'll spare you my rant on why I'm siding with players this CBA, at least for now...)
