As a lifelong, avid fan of the CFL, it's the first time I can remember such a string of deaths, and of such prominent people in the league on top of it all. Personally, Sazio wasn't someone I ever knew much about (other than the Grey Cup wins). But, his passing, in such close succession to the likes of Lancaster and Ackles, does have a bit of a silver lining. What has become apparent is a nostalgia for the game in years gone by, and a celebration of the rich history of this league and the people who made it that way. I look forward to the time when this is celebrated, not memorialized or mourned. Condolences to the Sazio, TiCat, and CFL families.
