Pavlik beats Taylor. Again. Kelly Pavlik won a unanimous decision over Jermain Taylor. This was the second time they fought.

I'm so sick of Chicagoans and their attitude towards success. Sure the cubs haven't won but you guys had the best basketball player of all time. 6 rings should help you forget about your cubs.

I would be pissed if I were Mark Cuban. They have had such a good team for a long time now and have just 1 finals loss to show for it. So much talent has been wasted.
Cavs Acquire Ben Wallace and Wally Alphabet for Playoff Run. Eleven player, three team deal between Cleveland, Chicago and Seattle. TrueHoop's thoughts.
posted to Basketball at 5:11 PM CDT
As a Cav fan I don't love this move but I will get used to it. We're gonna miss Gooden, not so much Hughes. Ben Wallace I think is overrated. Wally won't help that much and Smith is gonna get garbage minutes. The way I see it, we lost 2 starters, 1 we didn't need (Hughes) and gained an average big guy. West will help a little, but LeBron still has no Pippen.
Browns Trade Newly Benched QB Frye to Seahawks Two weeks ago, when Charlie Frye won the Cleveland Browns' starting QB job, team GM Phil Savage touted the decision and said "let's see what Charlie can do with a full deck." Ten passes and one interception into the new season, Frye has been traded to the Seattle Seahawks for a sixth-round draft pick.

It was enevitable, but I didn't want to see Frye go. I don't think Quinn will have success here, we really just solidified playing for next year, before it was just a chance not its a fact.
Myark Cubyan Slyams Dwyane Wyade Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban does his part to pimp the Heat-Mavs rivalry, calling out Dwyane Wade for a recent shot he took at Dirk Nowitzki. "You are an amazing player Dwayne," blogs Cuban, misspelling Dwyane's name repeatedly. "I love watching you shoot free throws. ... Now we know why Charles won't put you in his 5."

Wade took a shot at LeBron and he fired back by beating the Heat handily with his teammates, I wonder what Dwyane said after that game about the king.
Samardzija chooses baseball. The All-American WR signed a five-year, 10.5 million dollar contract with the Chicago Cubs, thus putting an end to his storied football career. Was this the right choice? Only time will tell.

John Elway was a guy who got drafted by the Yankees, but went to the NFL.
Florida 41, Ohio State 14 The team that many felt should not be there wins in convincing fashion. A bad game by the Buckeyes or an excellent effort from the Gators?
posted to Football at 11:13 PM CDT
As a Buckeye fan that was tough to take because we expected to win and we were flat, but Florida played amazing, everything they did, they did it with great execution, but I don't want to hear that Ginn's injury is why we lost, because Ted Ginn doesn't play defense. I also don't want to hear that Troy Smith is a 2nd string wr in the NFL, because he won't be. They out ran us, thats why they won, because of speed and heart. OSU just showed up and nobody wins just by showing up, and I don't want to hear that Florida is god and that OSU is trash just because they are champs because when we won, we did it with class, I expect the same from the fans of another Ohio born coach. And I hearing a little to much talk of Florida being the best team that ever played by all the idiots, not fans of football because Florida backed doored there way into the game and beat a team that thought they were already champs. And just for the record Chris Leak is no better than Troy Smith it just so happened to be Smith's worst career games and Leak just sat there and looked pretty while Timmy Tebow did all of the dirty work.
Michael Vick Passes the Buck The Atlanta Falcons quarterback's 2006 season: 2,474 passing yards, 1,039 rushing yards, 20 touchdown passes, 2 touchdown runs, and one provocative comment after Sunday's season-ending loss: "I don't see how people can point the finger at me. I think I had a great season. ... I can't do it all by myself. I call myself Superman, but I really don't have the cape on my back."

If you wanna know why they aren't still playing just listen to Vick, Vick sold out his teammates and he is right where he should be at home watching TEAMS play in the playoffs.

Another thing is I'm tired of hearing Vick should play RB or WR, you just don't do that whether or not he could, plus he would be a terrible running back, plus the falcons are paying $100,000,000 for him, he wouldn't last.

That absolutely does it for me, I put up with his stupidity for as long as I can, and that gesture is sincerely the most unsportsmanlike thing a guy can do, and not only that, it is one of the most disrespectful things a human can to do another.
Young Buckeyes considering NFL draft I wonder how good they will be next year if they all go?
posted to Football at 5:52 PM CDT
To say Ginn is the only one who would go anywhere is the dumbest thing I ever heard. If anyone has seen a Buckeyes game this year they would know that Gonzalez is 5 times the receiver that Ginn is and that Ginn is overrated. He is the best athlete of the group, but in the NFL he wont be very successful becasue he cant handle pressure, in big games he is average and he is too damn inconsistent. Troy Smith made Ginn the reciever that he is and since his freshmen year he has slowed down immensely in the form of a return man. One thing about OSU is there graduation percentage, guys just dont leave early, unless like Maurice Clarett they are idiots. In my opinion losing Gonzalez would hurt the most out of that bunch and I really dont see any of them going early except for Ginn, but his father is gonna have a huge role in determining his future.

It's idiot fans like you sydney that cant accept a loss so they make up excuses. You shouldn't even deserve the title of fan the way you incoherently bitch about losing one game. Playing the overrated card is getting old as well, just because Jim Tressel owns your ass. Who did you blame the '04 and '05 games on becasue in '04 we were a 4-loss team and we still kicked your ass, and last year we were trailing late and came back and won, just be a man and accept a loss, don't be mad at us for kicking your ass be mad at yourself and Florida for also out playing your team all season.
Do You Hear What I Hear? The NFL takes no action against the Miami Dolphins in "Tapegate." After the Dolphins blasted New England 21-0 on Sunday, several Miami players referred to "purchased" tapes they used to help decipher Patriots QB Tom Brady's audibles and line-blocking calls.
posted to Football at 3:29 PM CDT
This has probably been going on for years, but since NE was the victim, there is a big fuss about it. I like NE, but Miami did what it took, but who knows if that even made a difference because Brady and the Patriots haven't had much success against Miami in recent years. If anything its gonna help NE and they are gonna be real tough come late December-early January
Tressel Skipped Final Coaches' Poll Vote Ohio State Coach Jim Tressel chickened out of voting in the final USA Today football coaches' poll, which is made public, saying he wasn't going to give his next opponent extra incentive. "That's a bunch of sanctimonious bunk," said Texas Tech Coach Mike Leach.
posted to Football at 8:04 AM CDT
What difference does it make? He would pick Michigan and they deserve it most. The BCS is all about giving SEC teams a chance as long as USC isnt already getting it. The only difference from playing Michigan, USC, or Florida is that we would beat Florida by the most. Tressel is no coward, he has scheduled Texas two years in a row and USC for next year. Voting should not be put on the coaches anyway.
