So the J-E-T-S are cheaters, huh? Do we put an astrik next to their record, then?

However this shakes out, there can't be a good excuse for what happened.

Judge Hits Andy Reid Out of Bounds A county judge called the home of the Philadelphia Eagles' coach a "drug emporium" when sentencing his adult sons Garrett and Britt to jail time for drug- and weapon-related offenses Thursday, questioning why so many prescription drugs were around a house with two known abusers. Both have been living with Reid, who took a five-week leave when they were arrested on the same day in January, but their parents have not been implicated in their crimes. "This is a family in crisis," Judge Steven O'Neill said.

I've sort of had some experience with this (jacked up kid of a very close family member). When I blasted the man for what he was allowing his kid to do and get away with while living in his house, I was told that I won't know until I have kids myself. Well......low and behold, I have kids and still feel the same way about it. The Reid boys are grown men and need to be shown the door at this point. There is the possibillity that Reid feels somewhat responsible and guilty for the way the boys have turned out. I wish the best for them all.

You're right, jay. And if I'm this kid's Dad, this story would become a whole lot more interesting. (or violent) This clown needs severe punishment.

I do see your point, bd, and maybe my comment was a bit of a knee jerk reaction. But I've coached this age level, and seen some pretty nasty things, and going to the official would still be the first thing I would do. Understanding this was a scrimmage, then you go to the other kids coach and tell him to straighten it out. All the post said is that the looney coach's kid got blocked and knocked down. Buy him a tennis raquet and move on. Sorry, but I've about had enough of Youth Sports Coaches getting this kind of attention.

You're right Weedy, but honestly, after I peed my pants, I would then engage in some unchecked aggression without thought toward that coach.
Seriously though, you do make a good point. But all this is after the fact with time to cool off. Plus the fact that none of this actually happened to any of our kids, so it's pretty easy to sit back and say exactly what we would do. I like to picture myself as the bad ass though, so please don't ruin that for me.
Tony Gonzalez breaks tight end touchdown record. Gonzalez caught number 63 on a three yard catch in the first quarter, and then caught 64 in the fourth on a 26-yard pass, both from QB Damon Huard.

Hat's off to T-Gonz. One of the finest Human Beings to ever suit up for the Chiefs. It's been a pleasure watching him. He'll have a spot on the Ring of Fame at Arrowhead, and hopefully in Canton as well.

No doubt if Gates continues his phenomenal play, he could catch Gonz. But then again, Gonz has only played 10 years, and is still quite healthy.
MLB Suspends Umpire Winters for Remainder of Season Major League Baseball today suspended veteran umpire Mike Winters for the remainder of the season after an investigation of his run-in with the San Diego Padres' Milton Bradley Sunday in San Diego. Bradley suffered a torn ACL after being restrained and ultimately wrestled to the ground by San Diego Manager Bud Black.

I wonder how they'll spend those picks. Lot's of holes to fill and they don't have a history of great drafts. I'll cross my fingers and sit with hope like an idiot every year, even though the last SB they went to was the year before I was born.
Anybody remember Carl Peterson's 5 year plan he had back in '88 when Hunt hired him?
