Going for 4th and 2 on your own 28 yard line with two minutes left and a six point lead may be the single stupidest call I've ever witnessed. Bill Bellichek should be taken out behind a shed and shot.
Slight overreaction, me thinks.
Maybe Belichick saw something in the Colts practice tapes that lead him to belive they could get the 1st down.

It's a hell of an opportunity to sell a bunch of Cavalier #6 jerseys.
What about next year if when LeBron signs with a different team?
Is he going to switch jerseys part way through his tenure with that club too ?
It reeks of an out and out merchandising ploy.
I seem to recall Kobe pulling this stunt without the excuse of ''honouring'' another player a few years ago with the Lakers.
While you're at it LeBron, add to your petition that noone should wear #1 or #14 either, m'kay?

I think it's great that you try and teach your kids children not to swear. Good for you.
What I wrote was that I don't think this is the first time he has seen the word fuck in print. I don't speak the word fuck a lot, as it loses its effectiveness when people just throw it around willy-nilly (I hope it's okay to use the word(s) willy-nilly). I use the word fuck in its written form even less, for much the same reason. This was a solid opportunity to use the word fuck, and it expresses my thoughts on the matter pretty well. I think A.J. Burnett is a jerk, and I stand by my original statement.
Fuck A.J. Burnett (and Al Leiter).
With regard to your second point, I don't want to grow up. I want to live my life in eternal adolescence.

I doubt it.
To answer your question, I don't know if I feel like a real man, but I feel better than I did before I typed Fuck A.J. Burnett.
Dr. John, those video clips brought a huge smile to my face. That sadly was the highlight of my baseball season.

......it doesnt matter what any of you think, its all about winning,
I thought it was the challenge of competition, representing your school, taking pride in doing better than you did before .
.....it is far bigger than any of you, so this sorta thing will continue, its football, and it happens at every level. from elementary to the pros.
I played organized sports from 5-18 (hockey, basketball, baseball, rugby, football) and not once did I think about gouging another player's eyes nor did I have my eyes gouged. I never played pro, but unless your name is Bill Romanowski, I don't think it happens very often .
.......no matter what the cost.
Wouldn't it have been easier to stab or shoot the guy then?
Quicker, and would have taken him out for at least a couple of games.
If you're good, maybe you'd actually kill the guy!
That'd slow Georgia down for sure!
.....if someone spat in your face, how would you react?
I'd hope the officials saw it, and tossed him.
Failing that, hit him hard, hit him clean, punish him for the rest of the game.

Ricciardi could mask a ton of mistakes.
Frank Thomas, Alex Rios, Vernon Wells, Eric Hinske, A.J. Burnett, B.J. Ryan, off the top of my head. At an average of 240 lbs per player (just guessing) , you're at 1440 lbs with only six of his boneheaded moves.
B.J. is making $10 million in 2010 not to pitch for Toronto, and Frank made about $9 million not to play for the Jays in 2008.
Granted, all didn't look awful the day they were signed, but they all turned out ugly.

A bowl game used to be an exciting, fun and interesting event- because there used to be only 5 of them and they actually meant something important.
But thanks to typical American overkill driven by greed, there's a hundred of them now-- and they are all unwatchable tripe. And most importantly, they've all become meaningless.
In the 1940's maybe.
Bullshit. Following the 2008 football season, there were Thirty-Four Bowl Games.

When Washington named their team I guarantee it was meant to honor the Indians, not be racist. Same with the Braves, the Seminoles, the Warriors and other like named teams.
bk, your ignorance of history is showing (and alarming).
The franchise originated in Boston (1932), and was at first called the Boston Braves.
After one year, while still in Boston, they changed the nickname to Redskins [I wish I knew how to draw that line through words, I'd have made it Redskins (crossed out) Racists] .
Due to poor crowds, the franchise was moved to Washington in 1937 .
Note: Perfect opportunity to rename the franchise, to something without racist connotations.
There doesn't seem to be a history of equality in the organization at all.
There was no clamour to name the team Redskins to honour the native people of North America.
In fact, the Washington football team was the last professional football team to integrate their roster, and did so only under pressure from the federal government.
That's some proud history there.
Agree or disagree ?
*Some of this information I knew already, the rest was gleaned from our friends at Wikipedia.
