The Irish Rugby Match "of the Century"

enough of this census rubbish- limerick is a kip and would be great if it was forgotten bout- bit harsh but just jokin!! the game on sunday is going to be ridiculous. basically irelands backs (and friends) vs irelands forwards (and friends)- drico and darc will run rings around munster and contepomi will kick em off the pitch

Jordan

You cannot really compare the old teams to the more recent ones such as the Celtics who won 8 in a row to the Bulls that won 6 titles. I believe if we could see that match up, the most recent team would have an edge. The players of today's NBA are much stronger and athletic than those guys in the old days. I am not saying that today's players are more talented, but they are stronger and faster than those players of old. Of course athleticsm does not win games alone, but those guys (Celts) did not have to compete against a team filled with good athletes. The game was slower because the players were. Like I said, I am not saying that the player were more talented! You cannot really compare the old teams to the more recent ones such as the Celtics who won 8 in a row to the Bulls that won 6 titles. Comparing athletes of today with dinosaurs of the past is pointless. wilt was amazing but he was just ahead of his time. as athletic as a smaller player and stronger than most big guys- theres no doubt hes a legend!!- but to compare anyone in the same light as Jordan is just ludacris. as someone mentioned earlier in this piece- "he became bigger than any team"- i think he became bigger than the game itself. i'm irish (actually from ireland) and to come from a country where basketball comes way way down the list of sports to play (or watch) as a kid- Jordan was and is as big as any big soccer star!! ask an average person outside america to name one bball player- i guarantee 9 out of 10 say jordan.& wilt who???? Now as for kobe- come on hes a selfish baby turncoat. iverson is the same- no team with an ego that big can win a championship......unless its balanced with a strong team mentality. kobe dont have it and neither does iverson- rather pull up and force a 3 than dish for an easy lay-up
