I don't disagree with the widely-held position that there are a lot of really bad NBA GMs out there, but I think this goes to show that the job is pretty complex and that the casual fan who thinks "I could do a better job than X" is dreaming.
I think this guy made his job seem a lot more difficult than it really is. Other than a bit more red tape, it's not all that different from making a trade in a fantasy baseball auction keeper league where players have contracts.
I would imagine that 80% of trades are pretty simple deals and not so complicated. But the other 20%..oh boy!
