I have to say that i was impressed with his press conference speech. I think that his "time to roll up our sleeves, draft character guys, and slowly transform this organization" is exactly what the dolphins organization needs. No pie in the sky promises, just someone who will work hard and try to do things "the right way." Congrats dolphins, sounds like you've got a winner. I hope that you do for your sakes.

I don't follow Dolphins football, but it appears the owner have hired at least two guys that will get the team back on the road to recovery.

How will he help the Dolphins? He was an offensive line coach and the Cowboys line got smashed by the Giants D in the 4th quarter. Also the Dolphins have too many question marks. They need to draft a franchise quarterback in the first round and not a receiver(again). They also need a steady backup to Ronnie Brown cuz he keeps getting injured. Last but not least, their D is getting older and unless they draft some quality linebackers and secondary, Jason Taylor will probably leave soon. I am trying to be optimistic about the Dolphins for next year but I don't see them winning that many games in the tough AFC.

I like all of the Parcells coaches. But, I will say that Sparano had one of the most talented offensive lines in all of football. Plus the pro-bowl tight end. He squandered the offense this year finishing 2-3 after the 12-1 start. The media can crack all the smart $@% jokes about Tony Romeo and Yoko Romo they wish. But, when the dust settled, it was Tony Romo running for his life not only in the final quarter of the biggest game of his (and Sparanos) life, but he couldn't get them to even chip the backers coming through. The snaps were consistently high and late and by the time the ball got to the QB, so did the D-line and linebackers. And, he is going to fix what is wrong at Miami???

The past few years they had great seasons followed by complacent endings. That isn't the players, but coaching, and mental toughness. I DO wish him the very best though and think he is a Parcell's guy. It will take a couple years though.

I'm also confused how the o line coach can be credited for the entire season's record, or was Wade Wilson just a puppet talking on Sparano's behalf?

Say what you want... but look back at the films and see the last month. If they were able to block anyone in the past month of the season. I realize the yearly stats, the scoring and yards, but in the end when it matters the most??? He couldn't get them to perform. I remember seeing the game and him screaming and yelling at the O-line to block - which they didn't.

How you finish is much more important than how you start as evidence by their season. I don't blame him exclusively, but if you can't get your "guys" to perform during the last month of the season, how does that reflect on a coach? They went South with 4 games to play and I don't think they put up any good numbers against the Panthers, Eagles, Skins, or G-Men. Way too many penalties and false starts. Undisciplined.

Now don't take this wrong as I really do like the guy. I am not throwing him under the bus as to say. Just that he is not a savior if he can't motivate his own guys. Do I like him as a Coach? Yes. Do I think he will make a good head coach? Maybe? But, he needs to get fixed (as does Parcells) late season collapses. How is it that you get your guys to perform so well until the last few games and then they lay eggs? Do you think it has NOTHING to do with the coaches? I think they should share the blame.

In the case of Miami, they have nowhere to go but up. One thing about Parcells that you simply can't deny, he leaves any franchise better (talent wise) than when he got there.

Look, it's not like it's going to get a whole lot worse for us Dolphins fans. I was prepared to go perfect this year, but I'll admit to a certain amount of relief when they couldn't even do that right. If they don't win a single game next year, I'm ready for that, too. But if they think I'll stand by while they go through some kind of New Orleans Saints phase, well, shit, they're right. I will.

I will now go throw darts at my Kellen Winslow Sr. Fathead.
