Hidden: Mets take NL East lead and enjoy another rout of Marlins: The Mets thought they had assembled an offensive juggernaut when the season began. Over the last two days, they proceeded to show the Marlins the sharp end of that buzzsaw.
The Mets are solid. No doubt about it. If Pelfrey and Maine pitch well throughout the year, the division will be a joke. Reyes and Beltran look like early MVP favorites. Watch out for the Phillies, though....oh, on second thought, never mind. Maybe when they move their entire starting staff to the bullpen, their crappy manager will get fired and pursue his cagefighting career.

You mean Phillies manager, Charlie Manuel isn't fighting in the octagon yet? After they way he went after Philadelphia's radio personality, Howard Eskin the other day, you would think UFC President Dana White had Charlie's number on speed dail by now~

Sportsfilter really isn't make for game recaps. We could have 13 a day. Exceptions would be playoffs and games with unusual circumstances, such as the yankee game last night.

God I love my Mets!! I'll be at the game tomorrow with Oliver Perez on the mound but I sure wish I was able to go to tonight's Jackie Robinson tribute at Shea. That's going to be classic~
