The King turns 80: Long live The King.

My son got me hooked on the "Arnold Palmer", a blend of iced tea and lemonade that is distributed by the Arizona beverage company. If for no other reason, Mr. Palmer deserves all of the accolades he has received. Oh, I heard he had something or other to do with golf.

Must be about the second most exciting thing to happen to Arnie this year, right up there with meeting me in June.

AWWW!! I thought you were talking about King Richard!! Then I realized that he is not that old. Anyway, congratulations to the "other" King.

For a good laugh, check out Arnie at the pirate game last week. I am sure it is on youtube, I just cant post the link where i am due to our lovely firewall that blocks anything fun at work.(except Sports Filter baby) Instead of throwing out a pitch, he hit chip shots from home at the Pirate Parrot. It was funny. The Pirate players enjoyed the fun then went on to get stomped allowing 8 hits and i think 5-6 runs in the first inning. Palmer was the only one who made consistant contact for Pittsburgh.

What a nice experience, JJ. I'd gloat, too. What did you think of the article? Pretty old hat, I know, but from what I've always heard, it's all true as well.
