Orlando Magic general manager John Weisbrod resigned Monday to pursue opportunities in hockey.

Ummm....I BLEED Electric Blue, Black, and White. I have been a fan since Nick Anderson was first drafted; and he's the first player to ever don a Magic uniform. The Magic are no longer are a hot ticket in the City Beautiful. They aren't even close to being a playoff contender for at least another 2-3 years. The "Franchise" will have gone under, Grant Hill will be playing "Piano Man" in retirement; him and his "six-million dollar ankle", and if Dwight Howard has a spectaclular year next season (which could be possible), he still won't be able to bang the boards as well as the OTHER first round pick we had in '92 (remember him?)! The "veterans" that the Magic have DO NOT have big game experience. They DO NOT now what it's like to go deep into the playoffs. Granted, they may have the heart, but do they have what it takes to be coheisvely (or however you spell that) great. In 1995, with the addition of ONE Horace Grant, the Magic went from being swept by the Pacers the year before to the FINALS. That was a GREAT team with Penny, Shaq, Ho-Grant, Nick, and 3-D....Even Jeff Turner played some awesome ball that year. How can a team backslide so far in ten seasons? WE might as well try to draft Curly Neal and the Globetrotters, that would at least provide some "entertainment". I'm sick of bobble heads and balloons.
