Andrew Symonds escapes punishment after tackling streaker: Ogilvie had been drinking when he decided to strip and run on to the field.

I was surprised Symonds tackled him - about 25 years ago Terry Alderman chased a Pommie spectator at a Test in Perth, fell awkwardly and was out of the game for a year with a bad shoulder. Still, this was pretty funny, and Channel 9 showed it. Normally they just cut to the commentators or the scoreboard, so as not to give the streaker the 'oxygen of publicity'. In America, I imagine, the streaker would be thinking of suing Symonds...

At least he didn't leave a sticky wicket

In America, I imagine, the streaker would be thinking of suing Symonds... Actually owlhouse, as long as Symonds didn't use his bat, he's allowed to defend himself against a perceived threat. That's why you really don't see streakers at NFL games. I'd take on a cricket player over an NFL linebacker any day.

I have seen a video or two of people streaking at NFL games. Needless to say the players took it as an opportunity for a little extra practice.

"No person has the right to impinge upon another person's space, particularly a sportsman plying his trade." Why does this apply particularly to sports and not just every profession?

Probably because no one runs naked through my office. Not even at Christmas.

I remember a fan running onto the field during a New England game a few years ago. I can't remember whether or not he was streaking, but one of the Pats linebackers put a big-time hit on the guy. If anyone remembers this, or could look it up and post the particulars, I'd appreciate it. Probably because no one runs naked through my office. Not even at Christmas. Weedy, you just work at the wrong place.

Think it was Ted Johnson, but I'm not sure. I definitely remember it.

There have been streakers at NHL games, like this legendary one in red socks at a Flames game. He left on a stretcher....

Here is the Patriots/Panthers streaker that got nailed. This guy got it so bad security didn't even bother to chase him. What the world needs are more streakers like this.

OK, one more. You gotta see the hottie at 1:25 take a volley from 23 yards out and score. what a strike!

I don't know who posted that second link to you tube, h8ter, but that's the smallest NFL Pitch I've ever seen! Some damn funny stuff, though.

THX- Y'wanna trade videos some time? I'm into Elizabethan monkeyplay.

Sure, tahoemoj, I have a nifty VHS of Ophelia does Elsinore. Would that count?

If Guildenstern, Hamlet, or Rosencrantz are played by a howler or spider monkey or a maquaqe, then I'll happily trade you Coed Nudist Stickfighting volumes 3-14.

If I'm not mistaken, even though Horatio is portrayed by an orangutan (classified as a "great ape") with a penchant for doing odd things with a banana, Yorick's skull is played by a baboon. I have Coed Nudist Stickfighting vols. 1 and 2 and have been looking for the remaining 12 volumes on EBay. You can't believe what some people want for those. Amazon is out of the question. Do you know where I could find Fleet Footed Flesh Fancying Futbollers?
