Ottawa Senators and Washington Capitals to honour Canadian Forces: Over 2600 Canadian Forces members and their families will attend ... Thursday when the Senators host the Carolina Hurricanes. On the same night the Washington Capitals will honour the Canadian Forces when they host the Edmonton Oilers......marking the first time an American team will pay tribute to the Canadian Armed Forces.

An excellent idea that should be extended to our own armed forces as well. Hmmm, How about the Super Bowl?

Personally I think the gesture was the right thing to do. Youre service men and woman should always know how much you appreciate them. No matter how big or little the gesture is.

This is a superb gesture by all of the teams involved. Read some history of WW II, or even WW I, and you can understand the Canadian contribution to the Allied cause. Since the games are tonight, may I add my thanks to the Canadian Forces for being there when they were needed.
