Hogwash, Leskanic works for the Sox as a scout. Just another terrible piece of "reporting" by the lazy mainstream media.

yerfatma - you realize the Onion is satire, right?

Personally, I think it would be fun to just say, "Damn you, Leskanic!" whenever something goes wrong.

I don't know which was funnier: the Onion article on this new "curse" or the fact that yerfatma's Boston Herald link took me to nowhereland. So my votes with jg and the Champagne Goggles.

Speaking of the Onion, I love this picture.

Since we're wandering off topic here. Did anybody happen to catch this? http://www.kansascity.com/sports/story/331955.html Buck O'Neil has finally gotten the recognition he deserves. Although a straight ballot induction would have been great, it's nice to know that he gets a statue and the Lifetime Achievement award named after him.

Tinman, I think that deserves a front page post of its own. Good on him.

That's some funny stuff.

Wait, the Onion is satire? So Blockbuster didn't really cancel their rental fees? And all those people didn't die when Delta cancelled a flight in mid-air?

And I think if we are going to add stories from The Onion, we must have Terry Francona Announces Josh Beckett Will Start Games 1, 4, 7, 2, 6, 3, 5

Marginally off-topic: normally I find The Onion's writing to be a little too formulaic and predictable. But this was awesome: If Al-Qaeda Had A Hockey Team, We'd Kick Its Ass!

I feel the same way about The Onion at this point, but I have to say the video stuff is often fantastic.
