The Fremont Athletics: "How the deal went down, and why it was inevitable"

Good article (not the writing, but the content), but the most poignant part was at the end, where they interviewed a few fans to get their input. Even among the people who thought this move was a bad idea, there was still a genuine affection and attachment to the franchise. Not every team has that among their fan base, and it was nice to see. These stadium games are played by filthy rich people on metaphorical chessboards with real people and communities as pieces. These decisions are never easy, and the only sure thing about the outcome of these moves is that they are sure to be second-guessed. Also, fuck Al Davis.

Sir, could you please use the proper terminology? That's "mount Al Davis."

Excuse me but profanity is not allowed on this site. Having said that, F--- Mr. Mount Al Davis. And go home where LA still loves you. I have read this lengthy article in its entirety, I must admit that this was the outcome I had hoped for. I am happy that the Athletics and the Fremont powers came to an agreement. Put me first in line for season tickets.
