Battle of the Titans: It's kind of like those good old days playing backyard football.

Threr is a fine line between competitiveness and stupidity. White's actions on the field have given him a bad rap. Talented young man yet poor decision making.

Talented young man yet poor decision making. Thats never happened before

I think it says a lot that White is played up in the story and depicted as the bad guy. The story actually says that Donnie Nickey pushed White, then later ran up to push White after a play was over, and then later took a swing. Maybe it's just a three-year special teams player trying to make a name for himself.

It also says that Keith Bulluck was yelling that White had spit in Nickey's face.

It also says that Keith Bulluck was yelling that White had spit in Nickey's face. And if that's the case, then Nickey should have wiped White out right then; not wait to shove him from behind after some later play.

Yeah, the article also leaves me a bit curious. The article seems to make out Nickey as the bad guy, yet it describes Fisher as later apologizing to him. Something must be missing. These guys are on the same team, show some class.

It does seem like something is missing, but from other reports I have seen, including ESPN, the reports have all said the same exact thing.

Until White proves he can be the next Eddie George, I dont think he has any place spitting on anyone. But.... I would like to see him spit on Keith Bullock- he would get his ass kicked.

I think White is just a little too full of himself, like he's been reading too many of his press clippings. Hope someone takes him down a notch or two for his own good. He needs to realize that he's not God's gift to pro football and that he needs to earn his place in it.

Does White think he's back at USC where he can do whatever the hell he wants? He's lucky he got drafted and he's acting like this. Next thing you know Maurice Clarett will be arrested on gun charges and out of the NFL for good. What is this world coming to?

Clarett has been out of the NFL for almost a year, and has indeed been arrested on gun charges, dmontez.... Are you one of them psychics?

REDSOX:Until White proves he can be the next Eddie George, I dont think he has any place spitting on anyone. When he's as good as Eddie George, he can spit on any one he wants?

When he's as good as Eddie George, he can spit on any one he wants? Sure, what the hell?

Just kidding- I just meant to say that he is a rookie, and hasnt rushed for a single yard in the NFL yet. To be a respected figure, you cant waltz through practices spitting on people. Anyways, I dont think he'll be as good as Eddie George- do you?

I'm not sure if he'll have as good a career as Eddie, but I'm pretty sure he'll join Robbie Alomar in the Splendid Spitters Hall of Fame. Maybe Bill Romanoski can deliver his welcoming speech. You do have to consider the classless source of the original statement. It's from a person calling one of the most historic , most beloved baseball teams, and a recent World Series champion, gay. Take what you will from that. Is that an insult by the way, to be gay? I'm just asking.

Nothing really- thats why I changed my screename. I think it was something that my friend came up with, and I was stupid enough to adopt it as my screename. Getting back to LenDale- I think him and Alomar would make a great duo. : )

So, redsoxrgay is retired? Hanging the jersey in the rafters? If so, thank you kendall, I've found that name very offensive. I'm not gay, not that there's anything wrong with that, but it seemed inapropriate.

Welcome back from the dark side Kendall.

Thanks guys, maybe now I wont be antagonized about my screename every day huh? lol

Thanks guys, maybe now I wont be antagonized about my screename every day huh? Considering how less offensive and abjectly stupid this one is, opposed to your old one, I'm sure that will be the case, but I'm still puzzled at your choice of the word "antagonized," since that was obviously what your screen name was all about. Glad you finally reconsidered. If Nickey eventually writes a memoir about his relationship with White as a teammate, he's gonna be heartbroken that this title is already taken.

Hey Gary- how long have you had that quiz in effect to become a member of sportsfilter? When I first joined, all I had to do was read the guidelines. I must say- that Super Bowl MVP question had me stumped for awhile.
