Hidden: Pierzynski, Garciaparra win final spots : AL manager Ozzie Guillen will now have seven of his own Chicago players on the roster.
Glad to see Pierzynski got the votes to become an all-star. He has done a great job with White Sox.

I am a cubs fan, and I wanted Michael Barret on the All Star team just for punching Pierzynski. Pierzynski is a good and deserving player and Nomar is having a great year.

A shame Liriano didn't make the squad. Guy is ridiculous and has put up deserving numbers.

I voted for Hafner and Garciaparra. The guy Hafner is crazy good. Not on D but great DH.

Winning the All Star Game and getting homefield for the World Series is a big deal. I voted for Liriano because I thought he would help the AL team more than the other choices. I hope Ozzie can get it done with all of his homeboys.

Pierzynski getting the fan vote really surprises me. He's a great player but I got the perception that he is not liked by many players in the league. I guess the fans feel differently.
